"Take a trip 200 years back in time! Nice grounds, interesting docents and questions welcomed. Huge ancient oak trees and outbuildings complete the story of the people who started life on the River, made themselves rich and their history is still here for us to touch. Free first Sundays with visiting artists from time to time. A terrific afternoon trip."
"From the moment we entered ( 2 adults) it was a good experience. There were 2 attendants at entry, plentiful wait staff, and good attention. The food was pretty good(typical Golden Corral buffet items). Seasoned well. Presented in an fairly attractive manner. Kitchen staff removed older items and replaced with fresh items at regular intervals. Restrooms were clean. Carpet was clean!! Tables were cleaned and sanitized within a couple of moments of a patrons departure"
"Very clean, friendly folks. And best of all it is located in our subdivision."
"Beautiful walking path, interesting plants you wouldn't normally see. This brings in interesting pollinators as well. Very cool place to visit if you're interested in biology. Don't forget to sign the guest book!"
"Very personal experience. Unlike most suboxone doctors, this place does not give off the vibe that they are just trying to make money. Their visit prices are 50% less of other places in the area. Dr. Clark was very informative, empathic, and was not rushing me out the door to get the next patient in. I will recommend this place to everyone and anyone who asks!"
"I love this plantation home. It was a simple home and was really laid back. We did the self guided tour with our 6 kids, and they enjoyed it as well."
"Kali is amazing! I know flowers can make such a difference in the final polish on an event, but I know next to nothing about them! We worked with me on what I wanted and what we needed for the venue! I was able to send her photos and pick out what I liked about them and, sometimes, I'll admit my descriptions were vague! However, that didn't stop Kali. She knew exactly what I meant, offered suggestions, and came up with absolutely stunningly perfect floral designs. Her team on the day of was beyond helpful and professional! I had my dream wedding, and it wouldn't have been as perfect without the Plantation Florist!"
"The only plantation Which has not Been restaurated. IT is still authentic as iT was in The 19th century. Very beautifull and original.
The cottage plantation is only open in The weekend, reservations with tourguide neccessary . The owners are 2 elderly people. Walking around yourself is not allowed due to an old insurance case. When you enter The entrance Lane, well hidden between trees, you think you drive in 1885. You immagine carriages driving up and forward. The beautifull old oaktrees with their angelhair. The very old wooden bridge. One word! Breathtaking"
"I ordered a fruit fly culture for my little jumping spider and I'm so pleased with what I received. There are so many flies (especially compared to what I got at my local pet store) and it only took 3 days from the time I placed the order till they showed up in my mailbox. Will definitely order again."
"A MUST SEE PLANTATION.
We visited late May. I'm from England Marlene from Iowa. We toured the grounds then took the official tour. Our tour guide was excellent.I was amazed to learn ,back in the day the Plantation employed it's own doctor on site. We found it hot being outside for more than 30 minutes yet the slaves sometimes walked up to 7 miles before starting work! We didn't realise THE LONG HOT SUMMER, starting Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward was filmed 35 minutes away in Clinton, LA.Otherwise we would have visited there as well."
"All of the comforts and luxury of home await the guests in each cabin. The two person whirlpool tubs are amazing, especially after a day of hiking at Clark's Creek. The serene pond beautifully displays turtles, ducks, and fish that inhabit it. It was so enjoyable to feed the turtles croissants in the morning while enjoying a cup of coffee. Butler Greenwood is the perfect peaceful getaway place."
"I am into all things spooky so of course I had to book a stay at one of America’s most haunted homes! Unfortunately, I didn’t see any ghosts, but I did hear tons of ghost stories! I stayed on a Tuesday night so sadly the restaurant was closed but the breakfast was good! The coffee shop has the best hot chocolate and yummy pastries. Connie gave the day time tour and she was amazing! They also do not do the evening ghost tours on Tuesdays, but I booked a private one and Alyssa was awesome! I even got to speak to the night caretaker who filled me in on some guest stories! I stayed in the Woodruff suite. Everything was clean and beautiful. I was so sad to leave this place! The grounds are also gorgeous! Staff is beyond kind. Hope to go back again one day!"
