“This is a great little honest airport with wonderful management. It is a complete turn around from when the last owner had it. I can't speak highly enough about this airport. I Came from an airport constantly changing the rule, tell us how to fly ext ext. I now feel like a dog that's been let out of captivity. EPIC PLACE!!!”

“This is the best airpark in the south. The neighbors are friendly. We have a 3000’ pilot controlled lighted runway. Instrument approach runways are close by. This airpark is close enough to Charlotte and far enough away to be out of the rat race.”

“Nice big runways, ideal for GA aircraft looking for a place to stop for fuel with professional linemen! Also, they have an amazing pilots lounge that includes a little side room with a bed inside for pilots who need a quiet place to sleep and regain energy!!!!”

“Pretty good place for your hobbies, rocketry, ultra lights, RC planes, and drones. I know several people who frequent this field to fly their drones. Its a nice wide open space with power lines only on 1 side of the field, which run parallel to the runway. Runways are in decent condition, not amazing, but good enough for most activities. The field also has a small covered picnic table is near the runway intersection, allowing some seating and shade. Location is remote enough to make it ideal for aerial activities, but also close to major highways and roads making it easily accessible. Sometimes it can become busy, and since this is primarily an ultra light field, rocketry and RC planes will have to yield right of way or usage. If you've never been to Kitty Hawk Flying Field before, check it out, its a great place to play with your toys.”
