“This is a FANTASTIC place to fly. The field is nice and long, accommodating for plenty of Electric Ducted Fan (EDF) jets, warbirds, sailplane tows...it's a great field to fly off of. In addition, we have a separate helicopter field to fly at, so there is usually plenty of room to fly your R/C planes, helicopters, and even drones! On Monday nights from mid-March tp end of October, we have instructors that will teach you how to fly on club planes, and it's well worth the time to come out. We have club meetings once a month, either at the field during the summer or at the San Marcos Senior Center in San Marcos, every 3rd Thursday of the month. We love having visitors to the field; Saturday and Sunday mornings are generally the best times to come visit as we have a bunch of people flying just about every kind of plane imaginable.”

“Fist the "Pea Patch Airport" is not! It is the RC Aircraft Field know as Bomber Field. Google has the name wrong. Bomber Field is Great and is host to an annual Gaint Scale Model Fly-In. The field has the following: Runway: a 50’ x 700 ’ (15 x 214 meter) all-weather paved surface with taxi-ways. Approach is unobstructed from either end. Adjacent to the main runway is an 800’ (250 meter) grass runway. Steel fences are provided for pilot and spectator protection. Each flight station has side barrier fencing. Waterway: for seaplanes there is a 100’ x 600’ x 3’ (30 x 200 meter pond 1 meter deep) located away from the main landing field. Pit Area: a covered 30’ x 150’ (10 x 50 meter) pavilion with seven 4’ x 30’ (1.5 x 10m) tables provides convenience for assembly and maintenance of models. Also, 110-volt power outlets are installed and the entire pavilion area is well lighted for night activities. ”

“Lancaster isn’t the largest airport, but it serves its purpose- a way to fly in and out of the area. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely consider flying out of Lancaster Airport again in the future.”
