“The store is always clean+organized and staff are very friendly. The layout is intuitive. I have nothing but good things to say about presentation and customer service. There are loads of vegan and health-conscious items available, which I really appreciate. Produce has always been excellent. My issue with the Co-op has always been the bill. I am generally very frugal/low-maintenance and hate spending more than I need to on food. I have seen a few responses to reviews that raise concerns over pricing, but they seem to be missing the point. Price-matching nearby competitors doesn't help frugal or broke people if the product is over-priced to begin with. The issue is the lack of a cheaper generic/store brand for staples/basics. Sure, when I decide to treat myself once in blue moon to a monster pizza with a whole package of Daiya and beef-less crumbles, I expect to have to worry about how I'm going to keep the lights on at the end of the month (no matter where I shop). However, I will never be able to justify spending $3+ for a pound of rice or beans. It adds up very quickly and is the reason I choose to walk thirty minutes to the next closest grocery store and cut my bill by *at least* half.”

“This is the 2nd year in a row I have used Ballons & Cupcakes. They are so prompt. Delivered my husbands bday cupcakes to his work at the exact time they said they would. “Five stars for excellent customer service today! It took the clerk a while to acknowledge us buuut it was because she was making waffle cones!! Which was pretty cool to watch and it filled the place with a sweet and delicious aroma!! I asked if they had dairy, soy and gluten free alternatives and she knew what they were right away. Lemon or raspberry sorbet. Sadly the only safe mix in was gummy bears but for my 8 year old he was absolutely thrilled! Hopefully in the future they will carry a couple of dairy free ice creams (chocolate hint hint) besides the sorbet! We stopped in today after the kid's first day of school to cool off and talk about how it went. The store was very clean. The clerk was very nice and helpful. They keep their freezers stocked with ice cream cakes, cupcakes and ice cream sandwiches that all looked absolutely gorgeous and decadent! We will definitely be back and I highly recommend them!!”
