“Love to camp here. Great place with water access, a small general store, showers and RV hookups. I just dont like that they close the gates at 8pm and No one can get in after that.”

“We had so much fun! It was definitely worth the price. There are only 2 rides but the kids liked them. The light show was cool, the food was good. They had a few little booths selling things. The Christmas lights were amazing! Everything about the lights was awesome! This was my first time going, but we quickly decided it will be a yearly tradition from now on! Great job Grand Prairie!”

“Open space with various trails to follow. It was very quiet out in this area. Saw a bounding jackrabbit and a red tailed hawk. You can hike out to a ranger station which has a bathroom. I plan to go back and take some of the side trails. Take lots of water and sunscreen. Not a lot of shade anywhere.”

“If you want a great place to park during the Winter months (Summer too if you don't mind the Texas heat) this is the place for you. Just need a couple days? Daily prices are comparable to other parks in the San Antonio area and they are a Passport America park. GREAT PRICE!!! GREAT PEOPLE!!! We paid $325/mo + electric for December. Our electric was only $42 and that was with our Christmas lights on every night. The laundry is FREE also. It is located in an outdoor pavilion and doesn't have hot water but still...great money saver. There are no showers. This is a new park. Our electric meter was at zero when we pulled in. Our site was perfectly level. They are putting in trees and keep the park immaculate. The owner and employees are super nice and helpful. It's 13 miles from any sights but that makes for a quiet area. Groceries and your favorite fast food is 5 miles South. WE WILL BE BACK!”

“Good stay at this camping ! quiet even if it is family/resort oriented. We decided with my friends to have a spot with a lake view, so we ended on the other side of all the activities _ was perfect for us ! Restroom are almost everywhere, which is good. We were just surprised that shower are not free. Checking again on the website and didn't see anything about it... you need quarter. Beside, it is really great location !”

“I've been coming to Grassmere since before I was born. My family has had a trailer there forever, and now my husband and I have our own trailer there as well. I grew up in the campground and it's one of my favorite places in the world. It's a little remote, a little old, and a lot loved. My entire family comes up various weekends no matter how old we get, and most of our childhoods were based upon getting down in the dirt, swimmingnin the crick, and sitting around the campfire with old friends. Beautiful campground with lots of trees, we drive 3-4 hours every other weekend in the late spring, all summer, and early fall to come up as we live in South Jersey. Most definitely worth it, I will continue coming for as long as we can.”

“There are two individual campsite here (7 people or under). Both campsites are great. Right outside of a beautiful swampy meadow. You can often see elk and deer in the meadow. The campsite is within range of some easier day hikes. There is a privy here shared by the two campsites.”

“Campground is very well maintained and the tent areas are nice and flat with a decent amount of room. Located right next to the creek, water access is only 50 meters or so away with elk and birds meandering and doing what they do. Leave no trace, leave wildlife alone, and enjoy the trails.”
