“I had a major problem with my car in which I was told that my transmission was going out and it was better if I “just get rid of it because a CVT transmission on this car wouldn’t be worth fooling with. I was so heartbroken so I listened to everyone and made numerous calls including “cash for cars” who offered me $200. Now that was a slap in the face because I’ve already spent thousand of dollars on tires, hub assembly, brakes etc. I prayed about it and got my answer: Get it repaired “ in spite of what everyone said. Prior to my decision, I had received a recommendation from a transmission place that James @ Engine and Transmission Depot was just the person to go to. Long story short, I visited the shop and found Mr. James to be a man of valor. He is easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable and very professional. He is the owner and treats you like “family”. The other shop was going to remove and re-install my side mirror, side door panel, windshield wiper nozzle, and do other things, amounting to 25 hours of labor. Whitings didn't need to do or charge me for all that. I had my car back, looking great, with a perfectly color-matched fender on the same day, and for an excellent price. He said he could do that but if it was ok with me he'd like to see what the problem was and give me a quote. He ended up being able to fix it for not much more than the cost of sealing it off and WAY less than we had been told that it would cost to fix. He is an honest man and excellent at what he does.
