“I needed help with my 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness sound system. I absolutely love everything about this vehicle until I turn on the radio. It’s not difficult to notice the awful inconsistent factory sound system Subaru put in this vehicle. It’s fine for talk radio and light listening but Subaru really missed the mark on this model by not providing HK sound options. Insult to injury Subaru also discontinued the Rockford Fosgate speaker upgrade on the wilderness and onyx editions so customers are now cornered into to custom options. So frustrating. I’ve been in and out of forums researching possibilities with this factory disaster. Review after review on how I can make this sound system better. I was shocked to find I wasn’t alone with but after some mental debate I decided to upgrade speakers with Alpine RS69’s for the front doors, Alpine SPE 6000 for back doors, and added a kicker hideaway amp and woofer under the passenger seat. It was suggested I try the head unit amp to power speakers in the doors unless down the road I feel the speakers are struggling to play. The quote was fair given the amount of work to be done. Within a few days I handing my car key over to Esther for the install. A few hours later I received a phone call to pick up my Outback. Upon picking up my Subaru, Esther, explained the work completed. I got in my car and checked out the work inside. They did a clean job from what I could see I felt my car was left in good hands. I fired up my buggy and played the radio and satellite channels first. Impressive to say the least! I plugged in my phone and started up Carplay… Used Apple music and Spotify – amazing. Had music read off my thumb drive – my ears were so happy! No struggles with the sound coming out between radio and app used. I have spent the last couple days with this new set up and very happy. This upgrade and service was beyond my expectations. I know car stereo sound can be so subjective at times but I was not steered wrong the upgrade and Esthers direction. I highly recommend calling or dropping by the store to get some feedback on your set up. By the way… did I mention how nice they are there? Easy going and take pride in their craft!”

“I have a 2021 Rubicon and these guys helped me with a winch problem (it turned out that I had not attached a dedicated ground - they fixed it for a minimal cost). I live in the mountains a good 3 hours from their shop and so it is bit of a commitment to get work done there. But they treated me right with the winch problem, so when it came time to do a 2-3" lift on the same vehicle I decided to have them do it for me. Because of the distance, I dropped it at the shop when they opened and then stayed in Colorado Springs until they had it done. They walked me through the options, and once those decisions were made and they got to work on it right away. They completing it by mid-afternoon and got me on my way. I'm writing this several months later mainly because I didn't get around to it earlier, but I also wanted to wait until I could try it out on the trails as well as the highway. In short, I am really pleased with the lift - the vehicle handles well on the highway, and with the move to 35" tires I've probably gained something like 3-4" in the height of the frame. I took it on some red trails in the Moab area (Top of the World, Dome Plateau, others) - the vehicle performed perfectly. No rubbing even at extreme turning angles, power seemed fine, extra clearance was wonderful. The gas mileage, which wasn't great to begin with, is somewhat worse, but that's to be expected. I think the guys did a great job with the lift. One thing I had to work out was that when I first got the vehicle out on the freeway various warning lights came on and the gear indicator disappeared (it's a manual transmission). The shop had adjusted the speedometer as part of the work, but it turns out that the gear indicator is tied to some complicated computation that has to effectively be reset when you change tire size. I immediately called Craig at the shop and although he didn't know anything about it he promised to investigate. It wasn't a safety thing so I just drove it home and later did my own research, eventually finding a Chrysler document that described how to fix the problem. Although Craig did not find any information on how to fix the issue, he nevertheless called me back after a few days to ask about it - I think most shops wouldn't have made that call. As it happens I was able to execute the correction procedure and the problem was solved. No big deal, just appreciated that they followed up. Bottom line - they did good work on both the lift and the winch, and they treated me well. Would definitely recommend this shop for work on your 4x4.”
