It was a simple fix for $80 and the other places around here wanted to charge me $100-$200 just to tell me what the problem was. He said let’s rule out the simplest possibilities first. “My daughter's truck broke down. I'm a mechanic myself, but didn't have the time to look at it. I started searching online and came across Ernie's Automotive. I'm a big fan of reviews and after reading the reviews for the shop I decided to call. The guy on the phone was very professional and took down everything I knew about what was going on. He gave me a quote for a diagnostic, and even gave me the number to a reasonable towing company. After inspecting the truck, they diagnosed a bad fuel pump, and also noted that the ball joints were getting bad. My daughter couldn't afford do have the ball joints done, but had them replace the fuel pump. They gave her a very reasonable quote and there were no "surprise additional costs". The truck is running great and she had it back within a day of the diagnostic. It's a refreshing change to deal with a professional, honest business!! I highly recommend them!”

I've had them do about a half dozen repairs on 3 different cars, and every time, the issue has been resolved, and for the price quoted. If I have one complaint, it's that sometimes they don't have space to take a car when I call. However, in fairness, that's not unique to this shop right now (all the shops seem to be slammed recently), and it's probably a testament to their quality of work that they're popular enough to be full at times.”
