“four may be a generous review but this cemetery has improved so much in the last few years. The one gentleman that cares for the cemetery does a great job - as he is just one man it can be difficult, I'm sure. He has improved the cemetery in many ways beyond the visual. He has committed himself to do the genealogical research for those buried in the cemetery. He has found most of the veterans and places flags himself to commemorate their service. Visiting with him in a wonderful experience. After visiting with him several years ago, I took it upon myself to find volunteers to help with an annual spring clean-up. We have found many "missing" headstones. We have cleaned up dead and sick trees and shrubs. It has been a great experience for those who have volunteered to take care of this cemetery and serve our community. What is sad about this cemetery is that some family members seem to have forgotten their loved ones and care for them. Historically in the United States it was family that cared for the graves of family members. I find the cemetery charming and with great personality.”

“Classic Rock is are rock stars and have great prices on their stone. They listen to what you are wanting to do and then give you great suggestions. The first time i needed a few pieces of flag stone for stepping stones. I found my 9 pieces and proceeded to check out and the gentleman said these are samples have a great Friday. This was shocking but they earned a customer and many referrals from me. Now the second time i was searching for the perfect stones for a bench. I spent 15 min and found a few stones that i liked and proceeded to ask for help. They asked me what my project was and with much surprise they had me follow them to the stones made specific for benches. It turns out what i was looking at would not have worked. Kudos for the employees there they are knowledgeable and respectful of what you are wanting to accomplish. I would give them 5 stars, but it is a bit inconvenient for the non contractors, that they are not open on Saturday. Thanks Classic Rock, i already have my landscaper coming your way to buy from you. Once i have my project done, i will post some pics. But i need to come by some more rocks from you before i can finish. thanks again.”

“I love this cemetery, I had such a hard time trying to decide what rating to give... It breaks my heart that after so much death that we have had in our family and the the good people of Olive Branch and treated us, our family and friends with such respect, dignity, and kindness I would have a question in my heart as to the rating of this special place. For the the past 4 years I have had a death a year while living out of state. They have always been so helpful! But to no fault of their own the city has come in and apparently without regard for some of the older stones totally destroyed them, and some of the others shove them completely off of their resting places. you have to pay for the damages yourselves to have them restored. That is very costly. I do not have the upper body strength to restore the stone. The city of Portsmouth did not, and has not responded to my phone call before I had to return home. This needs to be addressed and corrected. I believe my loved ones are no longer there," to be absent from the body is to be present with Christ. "(2 Corinthians 5:6-8) But I would like respect shown to their final resting places. It is my earthly touch point until I see them again. I don't think that's too much to ask this side of heaven. Thank you to everyone at Olive Branch who has been so kind to me & my family and friends. You deserve the 5 stars.”
