“Church is good for us. Years and years ago, there was a camp set aside for children with special needs. It was called "Camp Mater Dei". I remember going there when I was little. Sad to see all the old cabins are all gone. I am not sure what is to become of the pool but I hope they find a way to use it as a historic landmark as where many children with special needs go to swim.”

“I have been in this program quite a few times in the past 20 years. Compared to other shelters this place is great. I think it’s a fair trade of what they ask of you , to go to one church service at night and a morning meditation. And a few more on the weekends, for food, shelter, shower and a staff that for the most part are there to help anytime. If you are looking for a place to help get you pointed in the right direction, it’s good. If you want the chaos, drugs, etc. then CASS is s better choice. They also have a kind of longer term section for people who pay a small fee, used to be $2.00/day. That have a job and need a place to save to get into an apartment. All in all I’d recommend it .”
