I found in Pastor Chuck Woodruff a True 'Man of God' - he has become a friend, a mentor, and role model. His sermons are well researched, prayerfully prepared and presented with sincerity, wisdom and always a bit of humor. I've taught Sunday School Classes, hosted visiting Missionaries, and gone on several exciting church bus trips. At Catawba the Bible is The Word of God, without apology or excuses. “What a fantastic church! I visited this church for Easter and was very impressed. I'm from out of town and dropped by. I was welcomed immediately by Allen. Folks are still coming back from the pandemic so attendance was a little light. They have a nice choir, incredible soloist, and great pianist! Even played Happy Birthday for the choir director before service. Then the reverend got up for the sermon. Wow! If enthusiasm means God within, she's saturated! I've never heard a sermon about the folded napkin in Christ's tomb. Incredible & emotional.”
