“A small fire in the center divide of westbound Yerba Buena Road at Picardy place. Not a problem for traffic. The Firemen from E24 were quick to arrive and quick to extinguish. they even had our neighbor child come out and help them put out the fire then posed for pictures in their fireman jacket. How cool is that! Thank you E24”

“Hello I'm Cindy, I visited Station 71 and it is spacious and feels like a home but full of high tech emergency equipment and a variety of top notch fire trucks and awesome people. I checked out the dispatch system and how calls come in. Crisis intervention is my life's passion. I'm a chaplain and in 911 training. It's important to get a close picture how first responders work together. The crew here is very professional and serious about what they do for the Vacaville community in Markham Heights. No call is ever ignored. 10 seconds. The fire fighters respond promptly and ready to roll out on the drop of a dime. The training is pretty intense too! They keep busy. The kitchen is clean and organized and everyone helps out. They pay for their own food by pitching in as a team, fireman men and women do not get fed by tax dollars. So everyone who thinks this way it's untrue. They only drive the truck to Lucky's to shop because they're at the station 24 shifts, and need food like everybody else, but if that call comes in and they are buying food, they stop and change gears and jump on that truck; they're ready to respond to 911 and drop everything for citizens and arrive ASAP on the scene in the readily available truck. As a dispatch student I learned a great deal. Station 71 captured my respect and heart from the chief to the paramedics down to the sandwich. Now when I see those trucks I'm confident in their excellence. Thank you for all you do for Vacaville. You're Amazing! Chaplain Cindy”
