“I am truly blessed to have such a quick acting husband and fire department..One of my neighbors houses was on fire and she was asleep in the room... As he was leaving to go to work he saw the smoke and broke the door in. She was asleep and he saved her from the fire... She started to cry and told him thank you for saving my life!!! They had a special brunch menu and I ordered the breakfast burrito. It was one of the best burritos I have ever had, and I get breakfast burritos a lot. “I was at the Sports Complex (in Glendale, CA) this morning, watching my niece play soccer, and I began to feel nauseous and overwhelmed by the heat. Mostly I felt nauseous (like motion sickness). I moved to the shade, drank water, and thought I was just going to throw up and sit back down. In the end, I passed out!!! Now, I have a bump on the back of my head (larger than a golf ball), and other aches and pains are showing up. I’m home still wondering why it happened??? Why was today any different than all of the other days that I’ve played in the sun with children and attended soccer games, etc.??? This awesome team, Matt, Chris, Steve, and Carlo, from Station 24, took excellent care of me. They were very professional, so kind, and impressively compassionate and courteous. Thank you ALL so very much! I appreciate your team and your dedication to serve and care for others: helping the helpless when they need someone the most.
