“On July 7th our community was hit by a terrific weather event. It resulted in major damages to buildings in Paragon and surrounding towns and included many downed trees and limbs and debris in the roads. Within minutes of the event the Paragon Fire Department, all volunteers, were out with chainsaws and their trucks clearing roads and assisting where needed. We are very proud of all of them for what they do for our community! Thanks to all the PFD volunteers for a job well done!”

“I was home alone and I dropped to the floor in pain after a shower, I called 911 and they sent MVFR to help me out, I was naked, scared and in pain with 8 strangers in my house, but they were so kind, helpful, respectful and supportive. The first thing they did was wrap me in blankets to cover me up, they knew how scare and vulnerable I felt being there with no clothes, they held my hand, were patient at asking me question, treated me with kindness and respect while providing all medical help I needed, and were always super supportive until the last minute they were with me when they drop me off at the hospital. I will be forever grateful with all of them. I wish I could give each one of you a big hug! Thank you for being awrsome human beings!”
