“We had a very mixed experience here. We had some hiccups with sorting out the insurance and then we had some problems with the photo delivery for the actual service. I’m giving them 5 stars because everyone I worked with went above and beyond to make things right and to insure we were able to have the service. They were kind and professional and very sensitive to the emotional needs of our family. They’ve recently updated the chapels and they are very elegant. I was very proud of the service we gave our mother. Thank you again for being there in our time of need.”

A friend's mother passed away and I was so very pleased with the care and compassion demonstrated by the staff, especially Kevin; he clearly has a heart for his chosen profession. The funeral home itself is lovely; not antiquated or "typical." Oftentimes, staff merely stand around and watch but, Kevin was very much involved; he greeted guests, ensured the family had everything they needed and always made himself available. I never thought about writing a review after a funeral of all things but, Hillside definitely earned my respect and admiration for their level of service in, what I can only imagine, is a sometimes difficult business. “I had to bury a close relative . Eric , could not have ben more helpful or kind . He gave me all the time I needed to decide what I wanted to do . He tried to call the Life insurance agency , to make it easier on us . He also gave me the numbers of the agencies to call for the claims , above and beyond! Patty was the kindest person , she was so sensitive to the needs of everyone . She offered to help me any way she could . No one likes to think about these things , but they are inevitable . Again Eric and Patty were 2 of the kindest most compassionate people I have ever met !”
