“Last year on my way to work I was in a major motorcycle accident, snapped my left femur, shattered my right knee, broke my left wrist, and sprained my right wrist. I was almost like those cartoons where someone gets hurt and they wrap them up in a full body cast, I was completely broken and useless, both emotionally and physically. Unfortunately for me I had NO medical insurance at the time due to some complicated work issues and had no real savings. I can't describe the feeling of hopelessness I had.
