“Set between rural farmlands and the sprawl of York, this quiet library has plenty of parking, picnicking, nice walking/exercise trail (with equipment) and kids' playground. Fire station and community center are part of the same building. Helpful staff and volunteers, computer and printer access (usually many computers available), small enough to be friendly, big enough to have all the goodies. Also connected to the other county libraries: if they don't have it on site, they can get it for you.”

“I am ambivalent about this library so I'll list the pros and cons. Pro: Gorgeous architecture inside, enormous Children's section, lots of chairs to relax in, huge selection of media (DVDs etc.) and Adult Nonfiction, many PCs available, nice view from the back. Con: A bit hard to get to, somewhat unwelcoming exterior, small selection of Adult Fiction, unfriendly staff. Worth a visit just to admire the design inside.”

“It's a small branch library. There are a lot of hosted activities here, making it a wonderful source of enrichment activities for younger kids. If you can't find what you want on site, have it transferred. The staff are friendly, helpful and approachable. The community room usually has some great local art on display and the Friends of the Library sales are wonderful.”

“My child loves story time. The lady who runs the program is nice and makes sure the children pay attention to the story. We always have a fun time. The activities after the stories are fun and you can tell they put a lot of effort into it. I live in Leon Valley and the Library is my favorite thing about our community. I don’t think people understand that our library isn’t affiliated with the San Antonio Library so you have to pay to use this Library if you are not a resident of Leon Valley.”

“Decent library, decent children's selection, helpful staff. However it's counterproductive to put a bunch of kids game computers right there next to the little kid book section when you want your kid to focus on picking out books. All they can think about is how to sneak over to the computers and play games. Very frustrating. The point of a library is not to go play idiotic games, it's to find and read books. The game computers should be far enough away that the kids don't see them all the time.”

“GCC is a diverse and including campus. There are many teachers that go above and beyond their job responsibilities. These teachers really make the campus worth attending. I highly recommend using rate my professor and ask around to find the best teachers. On the flip-side there are some teachers that I would never recommend taking. The campus itself is very clean and easy to navigate. The size is smaller than Universities leading to an ease of transition to college life. The one thing the college can improve on is the lack of a defined student culture. The focus on clubs and student driven activities seem to be lacking compared to other campuses. Overall The campus is a very good and a great College to begin your education career!”

“Overall professional and helpful, which was surprising but delightful. Librarians cannot help the characters that prevail, but did well.”

“The library is usually quite loud unfortunately, and there doesn't seem to be a huge selection on hand. Although... The staff is always friendly! Also willing to help in anyway to acquire materials from other libraries. There are afternoon activities for the local children which is much of the noise but it's definitely quiet towards the evening. Computers, printers, and awesome new scanner. Plus a self check out counter was added.”

“The ladies are always friendly and helpful. They have story time, Lego club, STEM club and other fun and interesting activities for children. They also have the summer reading program for both children and adults. It's a very, very small library and there is currently some construction going on.”
