“Not my home library (Crystal Lake), but I did visit to get my passport renewed after getting married and changing my name. A very stark difference in my unpleasant experiences at the post office, I was treated very well and taken through the process step by step with librarian Erica. She was very kind and helpful through the process and it was super speedy too! Happy to say I received my passport in no time with no problems making it possible to make my international vacation. If I have to do any passport services again in the future or anyone else in my family, I will direct them to go through the library. Thanks again!”

A great family place the staff if extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I myself have shifted author's from discovering the "staff picks " area and I have devoured three of the five books in two weeks so far and have reserved the fourth. Looks like on their Calendar they offer a variety of event's during the week as well including a movie night. Very well lit and plenty of computer workstations available; as I've not been in a library for quite some time, this looks like a good place for people to get homework and checkout books. “Great library! The staff members are great and helpful.only issue is the LOUD talking on the cell phones. This is a sign of not caring about others around you. Traditionally there is no LOUD talking in a place of considered silence. Perhaps if you post more signs it would be more effective”

“As city branch libraries go, this one is pretty nice. It's clean and relatively quiet, and they have a really big selection of used books for a dollar or less. There are some fantastic coffee table books there. The [free] parking lot is kind of small, but there's a lot of free street parking also. Doesn't require validation like a lot of the other branches. Also you can drop your absentee ballots here during elections!”

“The newly renovated library is amazing. There’s something for everyone and a place for everyone. My toddler loves it! In fact, the children’s area is nicely done. It’s an aquatic theme with a huge fish tank, play room, reading cubby holes, and more. There’s also a cafe, magazine room, a room for teens, and plenty of computers. Nicely done. The staff are gracious and very helpful, and the customer service is great.”
