“One of the unique Little Libraries that I have seen. Very large and made out of a hollowed out tree. Easily finable from the parking lot and adjacent to the play are at the entrance of the park. Very wide selection of books with several noticeable titles. Be sure to stop by and see this one if you are looking for a Little Free Library.”

“Nice, small place, great for reading. You can sometimes run into people you know and that's awkward, but they have a playground outside the building so who cares. Librarians are cool. 10/10 would go again”

“The staff here are really helpful. I've asked question after question and they've consistently helped me, not tiring at all of my inquiries. The location is pretty tidy. The only issue that you may run into occasionally is someone talking on their phone or listening to music so loud on headphones that the entire room can hear it. I wish they'd do more to try to stop that behavior, but I do understand that it's basically a Sisyphean undertaking. Some of the keyboards and mice on the computers can use updating, because they're looking a bit worse for wear. As a suggestion, laser mice won't get clogged with dirt like the roller ball mice. I'm not sure what to suggest about the keyboards. The all-rubber ones (that don't let any dirt in) are too hard to type on if you're writing a report. At the very least, the keyboards there now could use a serious hoovering. I do like seeing members of the community here. It's refreshing energy and good to know that the college is enriching the community like that. Overall, this is one of my favorite college libraries (I've been to a handful). If you're looking for some great tips on research methods, there's a staff member in the library whose job it is to help with such things and they're really good at it. Just ask if you need help. The staff is happy to assist.”

“This is a lovely library, with a friendly helpful staff and excellent programs for toddlers, school-age children, teens, and adults. The collection is very good, but rather small. However, as part of the Mid-Hudson Library System card holders can order books, DVDs, audio books, etc. from many other regional libraries and pick them up at Butterfield.”

“This is the most unique library I have ever encountered. It brings the outdoors inside with peaceful water fountains and plants. There are a variety of levels and places you can study and work. Natural sunlight radiates into the library. I have gotten the most effcient graduate work done here than anywhere else. I only wish their hours were longer and they would be open on Sundays!”

“Historic building with exhibits of recreated rooms and period artifacts from Newtown’s past. Very friendly & helpful staff. Pleasant outdoor patio to take your lunch & book on a nice day; especially lovely to enjoy in the spring with its “...host of golden daffodils”—then you can go inside and check out a volume of Wordsworth’s poetry! A wide variety of programs available for all ages, and constantly changing exhibits in the community room by local artists & groups.”

“I LOVE this library! There's many activities for the kids. The staff is amazing. There are many books and other items available (and if not, the wait isn't ever too long). Love it here !”

“My experience at this library has always been 100% positive! The only reason I have given it a rating of 4 stars is that I believe a merger of the Mendham. Borough and Mendham Township Libraries would be a most positive step in providing more books and services to the members in each section of town”

“I love this library! All the people that work there are so very helpful and kind. They go out of their way to order a book, that they might not have. Yes it is a bit small but that what makes this place special,(keep it a secret). Please dont let this secret out please keep this wonderful place a secret.”
Address: 2 Jackson Dr, Jackson, NJ 08527, USA
“The staff have always been friendly and helpful. The book selection is weighted towards having more for children and young adults, but their adult section upstairs is fairly comprehensive. There are a lot of events for children hosted here, usually during the day, with a few things in the evening.”
