“I have lived here since 2010 but one year I had my license wrongfully suspended and was only able to drive certain days and certain hours so when I went and paid my bills I got my money order for rent and as I was on my way home I forgot to drop it off on the 5th of that month. Later I got a letter telling me I didn't pay rent which was true. I finally looked in my wallet and noticed it was in my wallet the whole time. So I went and paid a late fee for the first time which on my lease you are allowed to be late three times before you can get an eviction from them. But I got evicted the first time and was taken to court because horizon did not accept my rent and the late fee the $50 and was charged $1,000 on top of rent. And believe me the list goes on. But I still pray for horizon management and I hope they get better and the park gets better too cuz I want the best for them. WWJD --- WHAT WOULD JESUS DO? “This isn't a resort but a Bible camp that needs maintenance. Great location and reasonable fees if you are looking for a rustic environment. Lodge is heated by a wood stove, restrooms are in separate buildings, cabins have only bunk beds and not heated, kitchen in lodge needs updating, and the camp area is only available to 501c3 organizations. This is an updated review as of July 2022. Above still applies but maintenance has improved with new caretakers plus some that i have accomplished myself.”

I was down on my luck when I came here but I really got my things sorted out. I sure do like thsi place and would stay again.”

“I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this course was. I played in early December. The course was in terrific shape, greens were fast and smooth and I thoroughly enjoyed the layout. It was my first time here. To be quite honest, I've played courses with greens fees exceeding $100 that were not this nice. I'm definitely coming back.”

“Sam at the front desk was AMAZING! she made me and my 2 sisters feel so welcomed and comfortable as soon as we walked through the doors. The beds were comfortable! However, there were a few stains on the top sheet but we didn’t want to make a big fuss. The only downside to our trip was the breakfast. There weren’t many options :( besides that it was great! “Beach front spaces in this area one not a lot of spaces but we try to go to this area every time we go camping. The kids love it for swimming and fishing is decent. Only downside is it is usually busy and spaces are taken so you have to show up early but would recommend for tent camping.”

“Cheap, cheerful and near the airport! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic and bed comfortable. Old style window AC whose noise drowned out the nearby light rail construction. Some repairs to the cracked and chipped areas would be nice. This place could be so cool with the right paint. Price is right, especially compared to distant hotels. Free shuttle. On-site Chinese restaurant. Mini convenience store has the basics. Gardens are very pretty and well maintained. Pool looks welcoming. Nice comfortable stay for the night.”

“We had the pleasure of spending entire month of March and we did not regret it. There were activities everyday and rode our bikes to the island at least three times a week. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. We booked our stay for next year and are thinking about at least two months if not more. Restaurants and grocery shopping are nearby.”

“We recently stayed there for a baseball tournament and talk about convenient. We walked to the ball diamonds everyday and it was so nice to be so close in between games. The hotel rooms were exquisite and very clean. The staff was incredible especially Emily at the front desk. The lobby was a great place for everyone to gather and hang out. Would highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.”

“Absolutely beautiful accommodations! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The owners have put so much thought and care into their gorgeous spaces, which were all certainly very zen! This is the perfect retreat for couples! The owners were very responsive to emails and accommodated our every need, including providing breakfast to go earlier than the usual breakfast hours. For anyone who is interested in birding, photography, nature, kayaking or canoeing, the location allows for very quick and easy access to the amazing Point Pelee National Park. We give the highest recommendation for this BNB and look forward to our next stay there!”
