“Really neat place to bring young kids and doesn't cost a fortune to get into. I would say the ideal age for this place is 3-5 but my 7 yr old had a great time here as well. It can get extremely busy inside though as it's not the largest area, but they do a good job making the most of all 3 levels. Its neat what they were able to transform an old fire station into. They had an outside area that was closed when I visited but looked like it would be fun for the kids. You can def burn a few hours here if you need something to do on a boring day.”

“Only reason I took away a star is cause you have to pay for parking with admission. Great place for kids (preferably 2+). My son had a blast running around experiencing everything there is to touch. Even my wife and I had a great time learning new things.”

“Excellent meal for a fair price. Mother, father, and I were there in time for Happy Hour between 3 and 6 and decided to just do 5 appetizers for our meal! Each of them was delicious! Father and I’s favorite was the chowder fries while mother’s was the pretzel bites! After we decided to get desert, I loved my New York Cheesecake. The waitress was fantastic and was very fun and friendly. After we finished we toured the museum which was absolutely delightful!”

“Good treat right off the freeway a bit. Who knew borax is in hundreds of items. Mitch is a retired employee of the Boron mine and proudly volunteers at the museum. He is very personable and full of stories. There is even a moving replica of the 20 mule teams of the past Great fun for the kids! Stop at the remarkable Air Museum next door.”

“Damn! Missed it being open. Real neat to see from the outside. That was worth stopping by even thought it was closed. Going to be in the area again and will make it a point to make it by again. Looks really cool.”

“Several stores and experiences in one. The top floor is a vast antiques shop with tons of stuff that will have you shouting "OMG! Look at this!" "Wow, I had this as a kid!" And, "Holy cow, I always wanted one of these!" The prices were OK. I doubt you're going to find any bargains, but if there's something you're looking for, there's a good chance they have it. Downstairs there's a small museum displaying field uniforms and equipment from WWII and WWI along with examples of toys and propaganda from the various nations. There's also a little display about the Doolittle Raid with some artifacts of some of the crewmen. The museum is by donation and is worth the visit. Most of the floor-space of the downstairs is devoted to a military antiques store which is very nearly a museum in and of itself. Again, the prices are perfectly reasonable, but I didn't see any great bargains. (If you're in the market for a dozen Soviet WWII bayonets, this is the place you want to be.) There's also a good military bookstore in the corner as well as a variety of historical ephemera for sale. If you have any interest in military history at all, you'll probably have a difficult time getting out of there without buying something. I certain didn't. And I'll go back again soon.”

“What an amazing place! Lots restored tanks, artillery pieces, jeeps and half tracks. Many of the vehicles are hands on...You can literally climb into them or up on top. Some of them still run! Almost every vehicle has a fascinating history behind it... My favorite is the half-track that saw service in both WWII and with the Israeli military -- looking carefully, you can see old bullet holes in the sides that were welded up and painted over. It really adds something to the exhibit when you're sitting in the back of the real vehicle looking at these old war wounds and thinking about what it must have been like to have been a soldier riding in it when it started taking fire. Another amazing exhibit is a genuine memorial Japanese flag gifted to a kamikaze pilot's family after his mission. If you enjoy military history at all, you must visit! Hell, you should just check it out anyway, it's an afternoon well spent!”
