“The museum appeals most to history interests and is very well done. Guides walk through the historic location and can answer almost any question about Tilghman Island. They are family appropriate, and may be less interesting to kids.”

“Great place to learn about the childhood of George Washington. Spend the time time to take the tour of George Washington’s home. It is built on the original location. All the furnishings are hand crafted reproductions using 18th century building practices. You can touch and sit on everything! The film was excellent as is the museum.”

“For a small museum it certainly has a lot items to peak your interest. They have books, T-shirts and hats for sale and reasonably priced. The fee to get into the museum is also very reasonable. It is easy find and the parking is free. There are a variety of restaurants close by to eat at. A very educational way of educationing children about the past.”
