“Excellent and extremely well maintained county Historic Centre. Multiple buildings are open. There is about half mile walking trail that lead you to the run. Steep in places and with steps. The trail is unpaved. One needs to watch out for tree roots..The site has both Civil War Trails marker and is stop 5 on the Bristoe Campaign Trail. Highly recommended.”

The woman attendant at the entrance was very friendly(makes you feel welcome and like an old friend) and she was full of information about her museum's artifacts and local history. She made the tour fun and interesting.”

“Cute quick history of the town. Good visual interactions. They have a replica mail since it was the old jail house with many old notes and insights into how it was like to live in that town in historical times. They have a scavenger hunt to keep the littles interested. I enjoyed the physical interactive concepts to help engage and remember the historical lessons being told. The staff are friendly and cheerful.”

“Although this mill is in need of restoration it is still quite impressive. Hopefully it will be eventually restored and house a museum. Although you cannot go inside you can get quite a good view of the outside by walking around it and from the nearby bridge.”

“What an amazing mix of art, justice, story telling, theater, and a piece of Vermont history that runs deep into the veins of our state. A self led tour, you turn the lights on and off as you go through the various rooms and witness puppets that are life size, miniature, and some as tall as your house. I am always reminded of the power that art has in our world to make changes and start movements when I am here.”

“I've heard about this museum's architectural beauty but never had a chance to visit here. I loved how it was display artworks inside of the building and they had fantastic European collections (even though it was much less than what I expected). 'Alex Katz-Gathering' exhibition was ongoing which I wasn't crazy about but it was still worth to visit. I highly recommend you to visit here when your legs are not so tired because seeing all the artworks they displayed, you better walk from the top floor to the lobby. Overall, I was happy to visit here to see the beauty of its building. What a beautiful museum!”

“Absolutely brilliant little museum/hangar full of actual historical planes from all ages that are still in use, along with a variety of vintage cars. There are several cockpits set up you can climb into and you have the opportunity to be mere inches away from not only war planes but older racing planes, sea planes, and experimental ones. A very unique experience that I would highly recommend to any aeronautics enthusiast!”

“We loved it! Plenty of parking. There is a visitor's center with restrooms and a little museum. The employees there were quite welcoming and helpful as we rented one of their golf carts. The Park is quite large, so give yourself plenty of time to walk around and check everything out. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, and you may want some bug spray. There is so much to look at, and it's all set in a beautiful place surrounded by nature. We spent a little over an hour there, but keep in mind that we were traveling by golf cart, not on foot. We definitely didn't see everything, and we're looking forward to returning in the future!”

“Such a beautiful museum inside & out! Absolutely loved our time here with the family! So much to see, learn, and experience. We really enjoyed all the exhibits and seeing all the uniqueness that this museum has to offer! We went on a busy weekend day, but it was still a wonderful experience and it didn’t feel crowded due to the sheer size of the place. We really enjoyed our time, and would recommend anyone in the area makes the time to go and experience it themselves!”

“Really cool museum, located in the basement of the Chamber of Commerce. It's packed full of all kinds of interesting history from the town/county. Would have given 5 stars, however, there were some digital learning aspects we would have loved to interact with, especially our child, unfortunately the TV's were either not turned on or they were broken. I was also disappointed that several areas of the museum were very dark, there was overhead lighting in these areas, but again no power or broken. It is self touring, so going at your own leisure was definitely a plus. Great opportunities for learning, especially for Texas state history/homeschool.”
