The Museum of Modern Art

Address: 11 W 53rd St, New York, NY 10019, USA

Art gallery Museum

“I have to give it 5 stars. I mean, the collection is insane. This is on my top 3 museums globally. However, it is a lot. You will get super tired and spend a lot of time if you like art. I would recommend starting from up to down and taking a break to grab something to eat on the cafe or the rooftop. I was short in time so I did not do that and I was mentally exhausted by the time I left. The store is good but lacks a bit of variety in the cheap souvenirs. I am old fashioned in museums and would rather have a printed map. Global students pay half price ($14). Student ID is required but they did not look mine particularly. It was busy in a Tuesday so I can only imagine the weekend. Still completely comfortable to walk through and no line at any moment.”

Museum of Sex

Address: 233 5th Ave, New York, NY 10016, USA

“This was an amazing, if not slightly bizarre experience. We came here after seeing it was included on the New York pass. The place has a great explanation of history. There’s also a bar, cinema and loads of games to play, which I absolutely wasn’t expecting at all. It also has a really cool vibe generally and the staff are informative. I’d recommend this place. However, just be aware that the New York pass doesn’t cover playing the games.”

“The Hyde Collection is a lovely institution with a great story/history. It’s a nice museum for a shorter visit, but still well worth it. The Hyde home itself is part of the art, as well as its permanent art collection and antique furniture pieces. The attached galleries had quilt folk art and modern art visiting collections that were also enjoyable. The guest greeter in the lobby was a delightful first encounter. My friend and I were visiting from metro Boston and had a wonderful time today.”

“Absolutely BEAUTIFUL location! Incredibly interesting piece of local history, the grounds are right out of an old Victorian Era novel, complete with towers, crenellations, arched bridges, ponds, waterfalls and flower beds. The very land itself seems to emanate with tranquility and serenity. Definitely well worth the time to stop by and visit if you're in the area!!!”

Honey Springs Battlefield

Address: 423159 E 1030 Rd, Checotah, OK 74426, USA

Museum

“An educational Museum. It’s small but they do care about the area and it’s history. I wish more people visited so they make money to invest in further archeological digs. I’d like for them to use LIDAR and some other forensic work to be able to recreate more educational displays outdoors. Some metal battle soldiers and camp displays would be appreciated. Better signage and directional trail markers are needed. I learned some history I didn’t know.”

I don’t think it’s worth going well out of your way to visit, unless you’re extremely hyped for Opus 40 and want to spend significant time there. It is an impressive piece of work that one man put together. There is a museum on the property with old work tools and a video explaining the artist and the process.”
