“I thought he was just an actor, it was nice to learn so much more about him. There's a lot of great information as well as fun displays. The kids part of the museum is very well displayed for a lot of hands on fun. There's nice theaters to sit and watch some of his movies. The gift shop has a very sweet young lady working and the guy volunteer had lots of great information for us. Glad we took the time to visit.”

“This is one of the oldest homes with a lot of history in Palatine. In April 2016 they celebrated the 150th anniversary of Palatine and buried a time capsule out front. “Such a wonderful Heritage/History/Museum Center. The views from the huge windows are spectacular, you can spend a couple hours exploring all three levels. So much to see and learn.I LOVE this place. My son brought me to visit 5 years ago. And most recently, I brought my husband and my 2 year old grandson. My grandson loves the dinosaur exhibit and especially loved the model train exhibit. This place is great for all ages.”

There were items on sale, Railroad memorabilia, and plenty of food trucks to fill you up. And there were train rides in 3 Railroad Cabbooses all restored to there original look and amenities.”

“Never in my life would I have thought a museum about windmills could be interesting...I was wrong. I was amazed at the amount of displays inside. A large scale model railroad, dollhouses, a millstone collection, and of course, windmills. Lots, and lots of windmills! This is a great day trip if you are in Lubbock and looking for something out of the ordinary.”

“Gorgeous science and space museum! Cute cafe inside with a variety of different things to eat. If you are gluten or celiac sensitive they have a small selection of options, fruit cups, eggs... Etc. The surrounding grounds are full of trails to explore and hike through. Lovely experience we will definitely be going back. One of our new favorite places.”
