“What a lovely park! The panoramic view is breathtaking of the sound. Great place to have a picnic. Has a sand volleyball court which is quite something to see for a public park. Has beach access with a good amount of sand on the beach. Parking can be a bit tricky in the small parking lot, so be mindful. Highly recommend visiting this park as it is quite a treat.”

“Just happened to be in Columbus and dropped into the Blacklick Metro Park. The park is very large. Nice nature center that is staffed. Walking trails and shelters throughout. Looked like they have a disc golf course as well. Would like to go back in the summer to walk the trails.”

“If you make your way out to mercer island, I recommend stopping by this park. The trails are well maintained, it felt safe, and it was very clean. Always refreshing to step back in time and see an untouched part of the city. Would recommend!!”

“Gorgeous venue with amazing staff! I am a professional wedding planner, and have worked at many many venues across the country, and The Sporting Club at The Farm is definitely one of the greats! It is absolutely stunning, and I can not say enough about every single staff member working there! They were all so friendly and helpful! Anything we needed they jumped right in without even asking (even had some men help hang flowers)! The grounds are beautiful and well kept and the bridal suite is to die for!! Unfortunately it rained the day of the wedding, but they had a great indoor backup space that worked out beautifully! I will definitely be recommending this venue to future brides and I cant wait to work in this space again!”

“Great place when it's not crowed. (We do not go during busy times... DON'T DO IT). $22 for an adult and child resident to get in. Way more money for non residents. The grounds were clean. The park needed more tubes for the lazy river and slides. Concession stand was reasonably priced and food was good. The safety breaks every hour were good and kept at 15 minutes. Lifeguards were professional and made everyone follow rules. (On non busy times) It is $40 to rent a cabana.”

The grounds were beautiful. They were so accommodating and had back up plans in case it rained (which it did before and after the wedding). “It is a huge space that has less trails and more good drives .. with plenty of bird sightings to be had.. while..my camera is not good enough to catch them ..I'm sure it won't take much ....the kanyoo trail had a nice board walk was very flat and easy for any one to manage ...I'm sure there was more trails I just did not find on this visit ..”

“I enjoyed hiking here, there are mostly easy trails, although the climb up the hill may be more difficult for some. It's a quiet place and perfect for a quick getaway. My favorite part was the meadow. Many squirrels, chipmunks and birds. 🙂”

“Great Historical Stop! I just made a quick stop while driving through the area and it did not disappoint. Reading about the history and talking to one of the park rangers, David. He was very informative, not just about that site but about the area. He also gave a great background about the restoration that was going on at the building which I was very much interested in.”

“Barber Park is a great place for people to go rafting, paddle boarding, and other various water sports. It opened for wrapping up to June 27th this year (2022) - The water was literally ice cold when we were there in mid July. There were no places that I saw for picnicking but there is a walkway alongside the river and some restaurants.”
