“Highly recommend this hike. Bring a spare headlamp and a first aid kit. The lower section is simple and easy. The upper section is absolutely amazing but had lots of climbing over large rock and Boulder mounds. Total time for entire hike is about 2.5 hrs so have extra headlamp”

“This is a nice little campground for quick getaways. I can have a campfire, the bathroom is always clean. You are right next to the river and a short drive to hot springs. I especially like going down to the river, sitting on a big rock there enjoying the river and the trees, and watching river raft groups and kayakers launching off down the river.”

“This is such a lovely park. It has a lot of open space, picnic pavillions, and a water view to die for. It actually has 2 water views. On one side, you can watch the boats go by from the marina and wonder where these people get all that money to own and maintain these beautiful boats. The other side overlooks Sarasota Bay and downtown. Both sides are really pretty. There's a pay electric car changer and a little restaurant on the incoming road. Thank goodness, the snowbirds are finally leaving and we got a picnic table today!”

“Seminole Park is located in the Plantation Isle neighborhood across from Tropical Elementary and Seminole Middle schools. The majority of the park is a large open green space ideal for exercise and play. Park amenities include a half mile jogging path with 20 exercise stations. During my visit many people were exercising on the course and I joined them after I ate the picnic I brought. The park also has a restroom, a playground although part of it was boarded off, two lighted tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, two covered picnic tables which were in the process of getting new roofs, and picnic tables where I ate. Located within the park is the Happy Trails Dog Park. Pop Travers field park with softball fields and concession stands are linked to Seminole Park by a bridge over the canal. My favorite discovery in the park was a nest of burrowing owls near the sand volleyball court. Burrowing owls are considered endangered, threatened or of special concern in nine U.S. states. Unlike other owls, they are not strictly nocturnal and are active during the day. They make their nests in underground burrows, which are dug out by ground squirrels and they prefer open grasslands. A female was sitting outside the burrow and as soon as I approached she called out and the male flew out of the burrow to stand in front protect her. She's got herself a great guy. I didn't want to upset them so I left them to their peace but I did so enjoy seeing them during my little Earth Day celebration. We all have to do our part to keep the earth healthy and protect the vulnerable like these little guys.”

“This is a hidden gem located in The Woodlands. I initially came here to bring my little fur babies to the dog park, but we ended up walking through the numerous trails around the park. The dog park is super shaded with lots of provided poop bags. My only reserve is the fact it’s not divided by dog size. It’s basically one size fits all. Many times that’s not a good mix if you have smaller dogs and you’re not certain the larger dogs are aggressive or not. I’m not a fan of Russian roulette so we tend to come during off peak times. But all in all, it’s a very nice park. Plenty of play equipment for kids, a skatepark for the older kids, and nice water features for peace and tranquility.”

“Small play area with shade . Soccer goals, baseball backstops basketball hoops. Big wide open fields. No where to park except side of road.”

“Trail heads north downhill from the parking lot and turns in a westerly direction. Private property borders the trail to the east but the boundaries are well marked. The trail dead ends so you will need to return the same way unless you decide to explore some. The preserve has some pretty steep hills and ravines and there are a large number of downed trees. Must have been a heck of a storm.”

“Great little park. Has green space and the splash pad right next to it is perfect size for kids. You turn it on by tapping the top single yellow post nearest the park on the inside of the fensed area, which is great if you have a kid who is a runner. The bathrooms are small but smell awesome, I think the combination of cedar wood and the airfresheners they use make it smell like sandalwood or something, a pleasant surprise. It is a park with football field, ball field, and even a two mile walking path loop. Something for everyone.”

“Amazing place ! ! ! The summer camp here would be every kids dream. They have horseback riding, paintball, ropes course, ziplining, crafts, games, canoeing and SO MUCH MORE! Sandy, who is running the camp this summer is so wonderful, kind and trustworthy. Over 200 acres of old Florida goodness! All ages can enjoy this hidden jewel! Also has a great hall with a fully equipped kitchen. Great place for all generations to enjoy and create memories! I can not rave enough about this camp!”

“Work held a special event as this location. Parking lot is super small; most of us attendees were forced to park up the street (perhaps illegally? Not sure). The venue itself is pretty clean and the wide windows allowed very good ventilation. The catered food was good but not sure if it was a 3rd party or if this place provides the food.”

“Greenland did an excellent job of managing one of the toughest moments in our family's lives. Eliza was fantastic and covered every detail and then executed them with perfection. I was so pleased with how my father's final memorial went. I would strongly recommend Greenlawn to everyone.”

“You have to get a vehicle inspection and pass through the nuclear facility so make sure you don't have any weapons in your vehicle. Hog island was great. They have designated fishing areas and such, but the bugs were really bad...I don't think it gets much visitors. Overall it's a nice stretch of wildlife.”

“So many memories growing up and now with my own child at this park! It would be awesome to see updates done to it as it has some saftey concerns (see attached picture of a root growing through the woodchips under swing) and could overall use a remodeling or cleaning. There is so much room over here a workout station or a more up-to-date jungle gym to replace the 17 year old one that's currently here! Just a thought! Thank you for the park regardless !”
