“Just had a family reunion gathering up there today. A nice camp ground, did not see a single mosquito. Some flies, but not bad. There are bathrooms, and technically running water, but you have to pump it, it's actually pretty cool. The water is cold and tastes pretty good. There is a small area that kids can play in the creek, but no serious swimming or fishing, at least not when we were there 4th of July weekend.”

“Great park for dog-walking. Usually a little busy in the mornings but great views and plenty if room to walk so you can avoid other pets if you need to. Parking lot isn't big but it seems you can park on the street up the side of the park. We haven't seen any "no parking signs" on the side with all the grass so we're guessing/hoping it's okay.”

Cannon Valley Bike Trail Access

Address: Stoughton St E, Cannon Falls, MN 55009, USA

“Amazing and easy trail!! Lots of wildlife to see! We saw a fawn, red squirrels, rabbits, cardinals, bluebirds, goldfinch, and a muskrat. There are plenty of "rest areas" along the trail - some with bathrooms and many with air stations on plus tools. We didn't make it the full stretch but hope to work our way to do the roundtrip endeavor. It was a great way to spend a hot summer day! ***Important info: Bring $5 for a daily trail pass and plenty of water/snacks - there were no spots to get water the 9 miles we rode on the trail."***”

Tyler State Park

“Nice state park with plenty of trails to explore. We had heard a lot about the covered bridge and took the lane 1 trail to the covered bridge. The trail took us 1 hour 45 minutes total but pretty easy and doable. The trail is bike/ car friendly and is completely paved. I wish there was more information regarding all the available trails. We are definitely coming back to explore other trails. I highly recommend checking out the covered bridge and walking across it. IG: journey_man16”

Sugarloaf National Recreation Trail 2E18

Address: 2196 Wildhorse Meadows Rd, Big Bear, CA 92314, USA

Park

“Strenuous but beautiful hike. Road to trailhead parking is really bad. Looks like the flash floods damage it but is passable. I wouldn't recommend low profile vehicles to try to make it through. Low profile vehicles maybe should park at Hatchery and the 38 at the entrance. This hike starts at a slow incline and will get your heart rate going. Your breaks are when trail goes down and then you must go up again. I recommend hiking poles for the down hill back down. Hardest switchbacks are a mile before you summit. Great time to catch your breath and hydrate. Views are beautiful from every corner. Old Greyback looks stunning from many places on your way up. Watch out for falling trees. Yesterday 9-4-22 the trail was clear on the way up. On the way down, half a mile before the trailhead, an old tree fell and was now blocking the trail. Had to hop over it. If you're looking for a challenging hike and solitude, this is the hike. Carry plenty of water on this hot days. The flow of the creek at the beginning of the hike is low.”

“Cute, small neighborhood park. There are swings, a decent sized field, and slides. The slides are meant for for kids 2-5 years old. There is also a small rock climbing wall for kids. If you live in the neighborhood, this is a great place to visit. There are pavers for a parking lot, but it might not be large enough for remote travelers.”

Starr Playground

Address: 209 Onderdonk Ave, Ridgewood, NY 11385, USA

“Great place for kids. New basketball courts are nice. Plenty of shade. Playground equipment needs updating and there should be some swings for older kids.”

No BBQs provided at this park but I seen people with there own burning propane for some steaks and wieners... I will definitely be back to this park...”

Duke Forest Gate 26

“This is my favorite trail to use in the area! It has a lot of routes to explore, both on the main trail and on smaller side trails. It is well-used, and while it can get rocky, it is not so rocky as to be too dangerous! A great place for a stroll with a friend, a run, walking a dog, a family outing, or riding a bike.”
