“Nice Italian deli with basic fresh options and lots of shelf and frozen options that are either imported or made from scratch. We bought items to make a sandwich and took it home and ate it right away. DO NOT PASS UP THE TOMATO FOCACCIA. It reminded me of some the excellent sandwiches I would get in Chicago. We will definitely buy one every single time we stop in. I was tempted to try one of their fresh desserts but at $5 each I couldn't pull the trigger. (Maybe I'm just ignorant to the going rate as I rarely buy fresh to go desserts.) But I'm sure they would have been delicious as they looked it! Owner (I'm assuming, or manager but definitely got the owner vibe) was super kind. We definitely come back to local places that treat you like family!”

However, Last week, I placed and order as usual and when the delivery arrived one of my items was incorrect. I called Grubhub accordingly to notify them. A few minutes later the owner, Robert, called me directly to apologized for the mix up and kindly gave me a store credit for me to use any time I want. “While driving down San Pablo searching for something new to eat, El Tazumal Restaurant caught my eye. There was a decent sized parking lot right next to the restaurant so no need to fight or search for parking. Upon entering you can seat yourself or order takeout. The menu features a variety of Mexican and Salvadorean dishes, seafood included. And the waitress was very helpful and always ready to help us. The meals we ordered were delicious, full of flavor. I look forward to visiting again soon. Also when paying there's a variety of Salvadorean snacks and items available for purchase.”

We got seated in the bar area and ordered 2 beers along with the Seafood mix with raw bluepoint oysters, crab, mussels and clams. Everything was delicious and fresh. I prefer my dishes on the spicier side and had to make it clear that I want the 'real' authentic level of spicy...that tongue numbing spice. My favorite dish from there so far is the mapo tofu, that was awesome and I can't resist the sesame balls. The vegetable salad is really good too. It's seasoned with the chili oil, has carrots and seaweed and a few other veggies. The Szechuan style dishes are very different from the typical corner Chinese stores. I don't really see too many in my area of the state, so I make it a point to visit them when I can because the food just had a whole different taste to it.”

“Excellent food. Stopped for a sandwich on our way north and could not get over how delicious the Harvest smashed avocado toast was! (Smashed avocado with cinnamon, slices pears, blue cheese and walnuts - incredible). My husband ordered the grape leaves (dolmas) and hummus, also very good. However the black and white cookie was the best I ever had. Don’t know why they only have 3.7 stars, maybe cost? It was a bit expensive, but considering the area 🤷🏻♀️.”

“We normally head into downtown Rochester for pizza but found this place online and drove a few minutes longer than usual to try it. We ordered an antipasto salad and a Honolulu blue pizza. Both the salad and the pizza was really good. The pizza was not swimming in pizza sauce, which is one of the reasons I liked it. Highly recommend the Italian Stallion, and the Beef and Bird.
