“I hired H&L Roofing for a new roof installation. They gave a competitive quote and they offer military discounts. The roof is great looking and so far is holding up to the windy weather we've been having. I'll update this review in the summer after the roof has really been put to the test through the winter. The only problem I had during this project was communication related about project scope and miscommunications between staff about what was actually in the contract so the roof installers had to return later in the week to finish a few things. They didn't offer me any choices in material type or color. I'm not sure if they offer multiple choices or not. It would have been nice to see some options. However it is understandable if they are trying to keep costs low by limiting the different types of material choices. There was a minor amount of debris left over on the ground. But such things happen when tearing off a roof with hundreds of rusty nails. Just make sure you double check everything before letting kids play in your yard again. Spray off your driveway before parking your car or even walking on it. The magnet sweep they use works 95% of the time except it missed a couple of nails and one of the rusty nails ended up in my foot.”

Since the house was built in 1915 some issues arose which they dealt with well. I found Jason, my initial contact to be honest and straight forward unlike the rep from a national roofer. He was helpful and patient with my many questions. I found Jarrod to also be helpful, patient and responsive. The crew did a great job of cleanup. There has been a lot of rain since the roof installation with no leaks.”

“I do have a good roof. However there was some aggravation to get it completed. I put my son in charge of this project since they won't let me climb the ladder and I don't have good luck with roofs. The insurance part was easy. They did have to return to fix things to get the job right. Darin got aggravated with us for the return trips. Moral here-- supervise your crew. Job is finally complete. I dont have final paperwork. Was told should have signed completion forms earlier but I wouldn't sign until the job was complete. Claims I didn't pay the full balance by $200. I paid what was in the contract. Tried to get me to pay $200 Angi's list fee and many other excuses to pay $200. I got 3 sets of figures at the end. Darin complained he was upside down on the job. I'm hoping the trouble was not because I was an older lady and would never know about any problems. Thankful for a son who could check behind.”
