“We have a rescued family of 4 cats, mom and her offspring. Dr, Salemi has been excellent with them. We are fairly new clients; just coming up on two years. Having found our felines, we first turned to rescue groups and the A.S.P.C.A. and have gone to other vets during those first very trying months. We actually remembered Northside Animal Hospital from awhile back after having found a baby opossum on our street. It was late on a Saturday, Sean, the person at the desk was most helpful in giving advice, and has a wonderful, caring phone manner as do all the staff here. We are very satisfied!”

“By far the best veterinarian clinic I've ever been to. I wish I could give them 1000000 stars. The staff is so wonderful. You can tell that they absolutely love their job. They treat your animal like it is their own. We recently lost one of our puppies to cancer and when it was time to say goodbye a staff member who was not caring for him that day came in and gave him a kiss on the nose and said goodbye. Before that we already knew we would never go to another vet but that just cemented our decision.”

“I really like the professional and compassionate treatment they are giving my dog. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because there are 2 vets treating my dog and I don't know them. We have to stay in the car while they attend to my dog. But, they could/should poke their head out the door to wave hello. I was referred to them by my regular vet and would feel better if I could put a face to a name. My dog went blind in one eye and the other is being affected also. Feels strange to get there, open the car door to let her out and wait till they call with results. If they did this, I would give them 6, not 5 stars because i have had a very good experience so far.”

“When our dog Tom was exhibiting signs of distress, we called our usual vet but were not able to be seen for a couple of weeks. Given he was 15 yrs old and rapidly showing decline, there was no way I was willing to wait and put him through that. An emergency room was my last choice so I opted to call around and was able to finally land on Best Friends who agreed to see us. Sadly, the news was worse than we would have hoped for (but tried to be prepare for). The entire staff treated us as though we had been long term patients, giving us options and not trying to sell us on expensive, low percentage procedures. When we made the hard choice, they were quickly supportive, and comforting, and offered to help us even though by that time it was getting late and close to closing. They didn't even seem to look at the clock, just got down to the business of making both us and Tom as comfortable as they could. As they took our old man to the back room, they asked if we would like a paw imprint. My first reaction was that I didn't think that necessary, that I wasn't "one of those people," and that I really didn't want to think about that at that moment, but I agreed, both to be polite, and to "hedge my bets" in case I changed my mind. When it was all said and done, they handed me that casting and I could see my friends "finger print swirls" in the thing, and I have to tell you it instantly became very important to me, and I had to really fight to keep it together. As far as the procedure, the doctor was gentle and caring, both with Tom and my wife and I, and I cant express how much that helped in saying goodbye to the friend we made with that once tiny puppy so many years earlier. The technician came back and helped us prepare our not-so-little anymore guy for transport, equally as gentle and caring. I felt at that point I should write a review, tho its not something I normally do. As it is in life, I let other things push that back until a few days later I got a card wishing us condolences, signed by the entire staff, and many describing Tom and the experience they had with him the short time we had left him there for evaluation. I would feel utterly negligent in not sharing my experience with Best Friends Animal Hospital, and I would recommend them to anyone.”
