“I left a desperate message on his voicemail early in the morning. I didn't expect to hear back until business hours. He called us back on a Sunday while going through difficulties of his own. He advised us without being a prior client. He was professional kind and gave us very good advice. He put himself on call with us before receiving a single dime and assured us he is here throughout our girls potentially complicated delivery. He has a client for life with us now. We have had a time finding just the right veterinarian who was competent affordable and cared for our animals in all ways. “I was traveling in the area with my dog Maddie. I woke up on a Saturday morning with my dog shaking, pacing not eating or drinking. I knew something was very wrong. Called the community animal clinic and asked if they could see my Maddie. They responded with how quick can you get her here. Fifteen minutes later I was filling out paperwork and 15 minutes after that Maddie was in the room with Dr. Jennifer Sandy. Blood work, temperature taken wellness exam. Dr Jennifer Sandy was thourough and reassuring. We left there with some puppy digestive food, anti nausea medicine, antibiotic and an update on the heart guard medicine and vet calm for Maddie. Maddie is feeling better. Tired and I feel reassured. The clinic is professional and accommodating. They were extremely busy and they still made time to see my Maddie and did a good job doing it”

“Recently switched here from a vet in central Shoreline. Would have gone here right away when we adopted our dog for the convenient location, but they were full at the end of 2020, which is understandable. Since making the switch, they have had more availability for urgent matters than our previous vet. Our dog has special needs, so we really appreciated their willingness to refer us to a neurologist. Our appointments with them have been prompt and sensitive to the needs of our dog. They've scheduled us at times when no other dogs were in the building, which is just amazing. When we're not on top of prescription refills, they can often get our needs filled same-day or next day. We felt that our dog was really cared for on a personal level, they empathized with his unique needs and truly cared about his well-being (not feeling rushed out for the next appointment is the key here). We didn't feel rushed to be seen, even with a next-day, urgent appointment to address self-mutilation. We love it here!”

“I was taking my Mixed-Husky dog, Apollo, to a Vet in Sylmar, which seems to be good but one day my dog got real sick with vomit and diarrhea overnight and when I saw him in the morning, he looked in bad shape. He wouldn't even eat his treat. I couldn't get an emergency appointment with the Vet. Very disappointed. Evergreen Animal Care Center offered me a same day appointment and saw my dog within hours. After some tests, my dog was diagnosted having Parvo. The Vet at Evergreen went over different options and treatments. Their treatment saved my dog and he fully recovered in a few days. I don't usually write reviews but I greatly appreciate all the help from the Vet at Evergeen and his staff who helped my dog to recover. I highly recomment this Vet as he is very good. His staff is friendly and very helpful and always try to accommodate appointments, etc. They are all very nice and good with the animals. Even that it's a longer trip from Sylmar to Newhall, I only go to Evergreen now since I know they will take good care of my dog. I would recommend Evergreen Animal Care Center to anyone that ask me.”

“Our two special-needs cats are family, and at this point, Dr. Shahi feels more like a family doctor to us than some of the pediatricians we've had in the valley. I am impressed that he took no time to remember not only their names (in addition to ours), but also their complex case histories, in detail. I've never been put on hold when calling him, we've never had to sit in the waiting room (the appointments are incredibly prompt), we've always gotten quick help in time of crises, and we've received quick calls about test results, even on early mornings and weekends. Unlike other vets in the past, he has never tried to force us into unnecessary tests and treatments that add on expenses and just traumatize the animals and the humans. His rational approach tends to be to start with what is needed given what we know about the situation at hand, explaining everything in detail, different possibilities, and letting us make the decisions that we are comfortable with, and then take it from there. Having been dragged through the other kind of exploitative hell before, I so appreciate this kind of respect and consideration! It's a small clinic that doesn't have super fancy technological capacity (e.g. abdominal ultrasounds), but he will tell you at what point he needs to send you to a different place for more sophisticated exams and treatments.”

After $276 of blood work (several tests) to find out we couldn't do anything for her, they waived the charge for the office visit, and waived it again when I brought my kitten in a couple weeks later (there was nothing wrong with him, just new teeth causing swollen lymph nodes). Definitely would recommend taking pets here if you want them to be in good, gentle hands ❤️”

“The location is easy and convenient. As a new patient, we were able to secure an appointment same day for our dog who seemed to be in a lot of pain. The interview, assessment, and exam was thorough.
