I am already planning a return visit. They offer a tour which is included in the admission. Our tour guide was awesome. He was really knowledgeable and made each project seem so exciting (and trust me I am not really an airplane person), but he spoke with such enthusiasm, joy, and pride that it was contagious. Deeply moved. Highly recommend.
The staff is great and I learned alot about the different planes that aided in both world wars, as well as the people involved. Definitely recommend for anyone interested in aviation, and kids would enjoy this as well.
Small but great place. My wife and I showed up about 45 minutes before closing and they happily gave us a tour. They have several restoration projects going and welcomed us to take as many pictures as we wanted. Also, all the work being done is by volunteers who are passionate about Canadan aviation history.
This place is a Hidden Gem in the city of Windsor. With an amazing tour and veterans walking around, reminding you of things they did during the war, this museum is absolutely amazing. I recommend this to anyone who visits Windsor and wants to learn about the history of this great City. The connection to the second world war end to Pilots being trained, it's an amazing way to get connected to the city. With to full restoration is being conducted currently, it's an amazing place to see a part of history and to touch aircraft that have been in combat. I recommend this tour to anyone of any age. Hours of operation are limited throughout the winter season. But summer hours are a full 5 days open.
Fantastic Living Museum. Gorgeous historical airplanes. Amazing hospitality. John and the gang are ultra dedicated to maintaining the golden memories of the past. We loved exploring this magical hanger and hearing the stories in great details and heart ❤️
Thank you CHAA
