We celebrated our 25th anniversary here and it was perfect. The hosts are welcoming and serve the best, elaborate, home made breakfast! They served everyone sparkling wine to mark our anniversary on the morning we left. The house and yard are beautiful and every need and detail is attended to.
This was our fourth visit to Ranger’s Retreat and this time we brought two other neighbor/couples with us. Everyone has a fabulous time. As usual, Brian and Jan were the ultimate hosts. And their darling Scottie, Sarah is still the cutest dog in Canada.
Last month my sister and brother-in-law visited at our recommendation and they loved it as well. You’re close to Niagara Falls and I recommend a trip to the Butterfly Conservatory.
The grounds are impeccable and the inside is warm and inviting. The flowers throughout the property are quite beautiful.
A must is a lesson on running their coffee/expresso machine that can handle any type of coffee. The breakfast experience is absolutely wonderful. In addition to the many breads, jams, cheeses and main course there is enough food to feed anyone's special tastes. Brian's knowledge of cheese is astounding.
You can also ask for local dinner recommendations in the area and know you are getting the advice of a world class chef. There are plenty of wineries in the area for touring, taste testing and dining. You won't be disappointed staying here. A fabulous experience was had by all, and we will be back!
We had such a lovely stay at Ranger's Retreat. The hosts were absolutely generous. We felt welcome right way. They had lots of great information about the area. The breakfast was amazing. I highly recommend. We are definitely going to stay here again.
Absolutely wonderful. As soon as you walk in, you don't want to leave. Our hosts were wonderful people who made us feel welcome immediately. The house is wonderfully homely, the rooms are clean and comfortable. And the food...the breakfast is heavenly. To stay in a beautifully furnished house and be served food by one of the great chefs of Europe would make your vacation worth it already!
Come to NOTL if only to stay at Ranger's Retreat!
Had an amazing experience thanks to the great hosts, Brian and Jan.
The breakfast was one of the highlights of our weekend. The rooms, dining area, pool, garden, and living room have a special and lovely design.
Can't wait to come back soon!
