Vineridge Academy

We have had eye-opening and worldly experiences being homestay parents for kids at Vineridge Academy for four years now!! It has given us a better understanding of what life is like in other countries, and we have gained an appreciation for our country and what it has to offer students.
We we have developed relationships and friendships with these children and their families and try to instill good Canadian values in them while providing them nutritious home made Canadian meals and offering fitness tips. The school does an excellent job providing a wholesome environment while giving the students access to everything they need to succeed in life and in their future!
We are grateful for this opportunity and look forward to students for years to come!

I had the opportunity of attending vineridge academy for the 2019/2020 academic year. With the help of the friendly staffs, I was able to grow not only academically, but also morally and to improve myself where I was lacking. I cannot forget the amazing activities provided by the school. It was nothing short of amazing, it was also a medium in which I got to socialize more with my peers. To be candid, Vineridge academy is the best way an international student like myself could transition smoothly into the university and get acquainted with the Canadian lifestyle.
I especially liked the fact that within the school is a mix of people from various countries and background — Mexicans, Nigerians, Chinese, Vietnamese and Turkish people. With the existence of these different nationalities, I was able to get a keen insight of their way of life which enabled me to appreciate and see the beauty in different cultures. Overall, they never fail to acknowledge and appreciate their students.

I was an international student from Nigeria and my time at Vineridge was nothing but eye opening experiences and mouth watering fun. I made a lot of friends at Vineridge and I was exposed to different cultures from around the world and I think that’s what really made Vineridge stand out for me. No one is ever left behind and the staff are always working endlessly to ensure the well being of every single student. Vineridge truly is the place to be and I’m glad and proud to be called a part of the Vineridge family. They pushed me to always be my best and I would remember all the talks I would always have with the principal. They provided me with all the resources and efforts to help get into my dream university and that is something I will be forever grateful for. I got the privilege to enjoy the homestay program and it was soo much fun!!! I stayed with Linda and Dave and they really helped me feel more Canadian!! Much love to the whole Vineridge staff and all the friends I made there. It really is the place to be.

As a student who went there I can honestly say that it was an wonderful experience. Not only are the staff really friendly and the environment very nice, but the activities that they provide are really fun and creative. The teachers at vineridge are really friendly and good at their jobs, their courses are well planned and easy to understand and are also fun sometimes. There are also many chances of volunteer opportunities that vineridge gives us to help our community in Niagara-on-the-Lake, it is important to engage in community activities to give our city a hand. Overall Vineridge has been a really amazing experience for me and when I was still a student you can honestly say that we were a great big happy family!

My experience in Vineridge Academy helped me to be more independent and understand the value of things. In that incredible year I met people from all over the world who became important in my life. Teachers taught us that there is always a way to solve things and that if you need to talk to someone they will always be for you.
