We contracted McKeen Construction to upgrade a full bathroom, 2 piece bath and to make improvements to our finished basement including replacement of drop ceilings with drywall, floor tiling and lighting upgrades.

Our experience began with the quoting stage. We met Ian who was meticulous collecting the details that he would need to provide a quote. We received a detailed quote including drawings and room by room breakdown of the proposed work. McKeen were not the lowest quote but inspired confidence that the quote provided was accurate. Ian inspired confidence in the way he paid close attention to detail and answered our questions.

The next stage was orchestrated by Dylan, he met with us and walked through the entire project step by step. We were provided with a graphical calendar outlining the planned stages of work. Dylan was extremely responsive to our questions and easy to reach at all times during the project. He handled some minor issues quickly and satisfactorily. The trades people were very professional and polite.

The project came in on time and budget. Thank you McKeen for busting all of the scare stories we hear about contractors. You are a bright star in your industry.

Just finished adding two dormers to our home with McKeen. Major renovations and ripping our roof off with a newborn in the house is not the easiest but Dylan and the McKeen team made the process as smooth as possible. Dylan was always extremely responsive, personable, and genuinely cared about our project and our happiness with the work being completed. Everything turned out great and our project finished up 2 weeks ahead of schedule and on budget, which has been a huge relief! Huge thanks Dylan and everyone who worked on our house; hopefully the kids won’t destroy it too quickly!

I am so impressed with McKeen Construction. Dylan who is the site manager was absolutely professional and represented this company to the highest level. I also found Dylan offer suggestions that only made my kitchen and laundry better. He is the person I would want to work with again. The renovations have been timely and beyond my expectations. All members of any part of the crew to worked here were sure to do the best work possible. My kitchen is so fantastic it is a dream come true. I cannot wait to show it off and my laundry room is so beautiful I cannot wait to use it!

We decided on doing pretty much a full gut job and re-construction of our main floor. This included opening up walls, planning and bringing a vision to life that we had only in our minds. Ryan was fantastic in assisting with not only the planning of bringing this to life but also making his own design recommendations that helped make our vision even better.

Communication is absolutely vital in a project of this magnitude and Ryan or anyone on the McKeen Team was always available and willing to discuss and answer questions throughout the process. The Team was extremely professional and attention to detail absolutely amazing.

I have heard a lot of horror stories on major renovations and that has been happening even more so during COVID. Fortunately McKeen stayed true on original quotes and pretty much got the entire project completed on the promised time frame. We even occasionally requested some last minute add ons, tweaks or even additional work and everything was always completed with no hassle and as agreed. We were well aware that COVID was providing a lot of challenges for the industry, from shortages of trades, issues getting materials and run away costs. Somehow Ryan managed all this without missing a beat!

Our home is now practically a new house and for the fraction of the cost of changing homes.
The project brought our vision to life and has turned our first home into our dream home.
