“Went here with 8 work colleagues for dinner and for the wine tasting experience. I can't remember the name of our Sommelier, but he was amazing. He had extensive knowledge of the wine making process, as well as the grape growing process around the world. We really enjoyed the experience with him. The wine itself was excellent. I wouldn't call myself a wine connoisseur by any means, but I did enjoy the taste, especially the whites. Dinner was also good. I ordered the margarita pizza, some of my colleagues ordered the lamb and some ordered the steak. My pizza was very good. Not the best I've had, but still very good. My colleagues said that the lamb was perfectly cooked. One of my colleagues had their medium rare steak overcooked, but the others were done properly. I don't know how much everything cost, as my boss covered everything, so I'm not sure if this was expensive overall. I know my pizza was $25 and the steaks were something around $65 a piece. Overall it was a great experience. I would return again.”

“Fantastic, every, single, time. I drive 30 min one way just to eat here. Chicken is always cut fresh from the spit for each order. Wraps are neatly prepared with care, fresh crisp ingredients and with proportions that make sense. They are simply delicious. Staff is polite and professional. Fries are crisp and rice is fresh not clumpy. I should really try some other dish but the chicken shawarma wraps are just too good. The entire experience is very telling of good management. “Had lunch at this place when we were visiting Windsor on Christmas weekend. Place was not busy probably because of holiday week. We have ordered lunch buffet and we really enjoyed the food other than couple of items. Ordered multiple items like shrimp tempura, fried calamari, fried chicken wing, squid etc.All tasted very good but not fish. Salmon bites or Fish I really don't remember the name but it's little bit smelly. I am really sure that's not salmon fish at all.”

“Don’t walk, RUN TO BRUCE’S!!! I’ve lived in Wainfleet my whole life and have been a frequent flyer to the 2x4 for it’s many owners in the past years. When we walked in we were greeted right away by the new and AMAZING owner Kyle. His smile lit up the space and it was the Sunday morning welcome I was looking forward to! The place was packed, but we had no issues taking up two stools at the bar. Breakfast was fresh and absolutely delicious. Kyle came back to chat with us during our meal. I had the Mindful morning and my partner got the stuffed French toast. If you get a chance to have a conversation with this man, please do… what a breath of fresh air!! A graceful presence, someone who cares so much for what he is serving up and is shows! We will 1000% be making this our regular spot. Thanks for a lovely morning and great conversation. “I would love to stay at this hotel again, without a doubt. Even though it's only a two-star hotel, I'd choose it over a four-star one any day. The room was spotlessly clean, with a bright and inviting colour scheme. Checking in was a breeze, even without any human interaction - I just called Phill at the front desk to get the password, and then picked up my room key. Checking out was just as easy - I just had to drop the key in the box. Perhaps it was because we came during the off-season, but the hotel was very peaceful and the sunlight was plentiful. I felt right at home after checking in. They provided everything I needed and made my stay comfortable and convenient.”

I love the lamb, it doesn't smell anything, the meat is so tender and juicy and tastes so good, spicy, salty, and a bit sweet. The fried rice, for me, tastes a bit bland but when you eat it together with the lamb it makes a perfect combination. The service and ambiance are also very good. The server knows about the food very well and can give you a recommendation when you don’t know what to order.”

“dinner came with a glass of welcome sparkling wine. service was great. the highlight was the mussels; tasty, was a good portion and paired well with the complimentary bread..especially the cheese brioche. the passion fruit sorbet between courses also surprisingly stood out. the cheesecake was fine and the duck and sweet potato mash was good. brussels sprouts were heavy but still delicious.”
