One is immediately struck by the high energy of the place. The barbers work meticulously while offering and asking each others advice. It is clear they are in competition with each other even as they share gossip and jokes, and as music plays in the background. What is most telling is the satisfied looks on the customer's faces, as they leave, one by one, with shoulders back and heads held high.
