“I went to H.A.A during my trip to Amsterdam after booking a listening session on their website. Stefan greeted me and welcomed me to his store. I ended up spending a good amount of time trying out lots of high-end headphone and amps which gave me clarity on what I liked, that beats any amount of forum threads or YouTube reviews. I also got genuine advice from Stefan based on his experience. Highly recommend this place and experience.”

“Quaint little restaurant/bar. Decor of retro concert posters from years past. I had a great mixed drink and enjoyed my food too. Noise level was normal for a bar in downtown Amsterdam. 😉 I would go back.”

“Stopped in while hiking back to the hotel just before closing. Professionally run shop, clean, comfortable, great menu, very good pricing, excellent cake. Hands down though, the star of De Kroon is the most handsome coffeeshop cat I've ever encountered. This dude is the boss of this shop and he KNOWS it. He walks around like the floor boss of a Vegas casino. What a tude this cat has. Hilarious. The staff here was great, and even though there were just minutes to close, they accomodated everyone in the most professional and courteous manner. A great little shop.”

“Love this place. The brigadeiro is awesome too and the owner (Lucas) is such a friendly gentleman as we shared some jokes and backgrounds. He even gave me a €2 discount! 😁 (Thank you Lucas!) We had a crack at a couple choices and all of them were really interesting! If you are ever in Amsterdam, be sure to drop by and check this place out.”

“I started using the workspace at Herengracht this week and have loved the experience so far. The staff and people there have all been welcoming, friendly and helpful and I’ve quickly felt at home. The location is great and the facilities are perfect to have a successful working day. The final point is what great value for money is offered by this facility, it’s genuinely incredible what you get for the price. Also, free coffee. I’ll only be in Amsterdam for 10 weeks and I can already imagine how much I’ll miss this place.”

“I highly recommend Bike Fair. It is hard to find a second hand bike shop, which I thought was odd in the Netherlands or it’s just not very easy or straight forward. I was very relieved to find Bike Fair, I checked if they were a reputable company. The process was so easy, I was able to filter on exactly what I wanted. The information provided helped me make a sensible and well informed decision (age, damage) no surprises. I was very happy that I could get the additional security items and that setting up insurance was also available. I received constant communication from the team. The delivery happened sooner than expected and I was very pleased overall. The additional items came separately and I received a follow up call. Bike Fair just removed all stress from the process. Anyone that is buying a second hand bike should contact them.”

“We only had two days in Amsterdam and we wanted to do what the locals do so we hired bicycles! We found that booking and paying was easy and the staff were really friendly and happy to answer our questions. We enjoyed our coffee and sweet before the ride and loved that there were racks of pre-loved clothes to sift through beforehand too! All in all, a very good service with fair fees and located very close to Central Station. We preferred to cycle out of the busy city centre and headed out along a path by the river to see a windmill and have a picnic lunch in a park. It was so good to be on bikes.”

“Great service, great ambience. This was our first Japanese food experience in Amsterdam. Had to wait for a bit to get seated since it was a busy night (5-10 minutes) but as soon as we were seated, we got promptly attended to, and got our orders taken. Plus points to our server for offering tap water as an option. The ramen (I had the hataka miso ramen) was too salty for my taste. And when we gave feedback to our server they did inform us that there is an option to request for less salt for next time. Also ordered karaage and shrimp tempura, those were good. Just ask questions if you have any concerns before ordering, staff is really helpful.”

“Specifically made sure this was the particular location we'd visited to leave the comment for. The store manager was so personable and passionate about the cheese, sharing the origin story of the business and the farm fresh source of the products. Delightful visit. The lavender-infused goat or sheep cheese was unforgettable.”

“I love coming here to just stroll around and find inspiration from book covers. One of my favorite bookshops in town cause they’ve got it all. Vast collection of books in every category, very organized so it’s not hard to find a book without assistant, helpful staff, good cafe and good discounts. Sometimes I would come for one book but I end up spending more.”

“Absolutely delicious! Friendly and sooo good! The St..George steak. The fries with the peppercorn and chimicurri dipping! And get the garlic bread! If they have the burger- get it! That's how you know it's good and fresh- they only serve it if it's fresh! A lovely family restaurant! A relaxed place on a fun street! As you can see, we devoured everything!”

“Just had drinks but it was a lovely atmosphere. Can't speak re food as we didn't have it. Amazing and kind bar staff /owner. He dealt with all levels and stages of party people in a really kind and professional way. You could see the guy knows his stuff in terms of reading the room. It felt safe and welcoming, and there was a mix of nationalities, but without it feeling a tourist trap. I was visiting a friend who lives in Amsterdam and would definitely come back, the drinks were great. I do regret not summoning up the courage to talk to the blonde at the bar, but maybe next time. Have fun everyone. xxx”

“Very beautiful, raw and charming store in Amsterdam. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A lot of cool bikes were on display as well as some historic jerseys. There was a wide selection of clothes (both womens and mens). It also looks like there is a café connected to this store where espresso is served. The prices seemed a bit on the more expensive side, but the designs were very good looking, in my opinion.”

“What an experience!!! Arrived 15 June 23 and had dinner at about 6pm. Place is nicely laid out. What a view! We had reserved a window table overview the Royal Palace. For starters we had the Eel from Eveleens. It was a fresh tasting meal with a well placed foi gras. For main course I had the Dutch lamb. It was so tender and the sauce (chefs kiss). She had the dutch trout, the trout was cooked perfectly! The jerusalem artichoke gave a nice crunchy texture and flavoring!! For a side we had the truffle fries. The condiments packaging and taste was very good. Its the small details that makes a restaurant stand out from the rest! The staff were amazing!!! From Max who was very attentive and nice. To Jesse sharing some fun facts about the certain monuments in the DAM. To Christos! Christos was such a great person to us!! Made us feel so relaxed with his amazing personality!! This place definitely has it all! Great Location, great atmosphere, outstanding food, a staff who makes you feel at home!! Would highly recommend it to anyone!! Keep up the great work!!! If I can rate pass 5 stars I would!!! This place deserves a Michelin Star or Stars!!!(surprised it has not yet). We will definitely tell our friends and family about this place. We will be back! Thanks again!!!!!!!”

“Great value for a sunset 1 hour cruise. It was approximately €20/adult. They had bar service and the drinks were reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and were able to answer most questions during the tour. We brought our kids and they had a good time. Note they offer a number of different cruises. The one we chose was the evening cruise with a bar--it was not an in-depth tour but just a nice ride with drinks and a bit of commentary from the skipper; it was exactly what we were looking for after a long day on our feet.”

“I enjoyed sampling different unsual flavoured cheeses from the store. I got the lavender cheese and honey goat. They were delicious. For the more basic flavours such as the green pesto and italian herbs it is cheaper to buy in the supermarket.”

“We spent two nights in Amsterdam and I visited Excalibur Café both of them, great atmosphere, the perfect blend of regular patrons and tourists as we were. This place has the coolest owner you can find, he's always around making sure everything runs smoothly, make sure you check all the memorabilia all around.”

“Awesome place for a quick respite from a long day of tourism. Located not too far from the big flea market and small thrift stores to pop in and out of. The Cafe de Jaren is clean and modern. Seating out back by the canal or inside. The prices are very decent and the wait staff is friendly and speaks a multitude of different languages. And since it’s in the middle of a large city, parking is at your own risk. Ha!”

“Very good tuna sandwich and very fresh orange juice. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a quick meal on the table bar overlooking the street outside and the canal. They offer lovely outside tables but it was very cold so we preferred to be seated inside”

“Chocolate lovers rejoice! Urban Cacao offers artisanal chocolate bars made of exotic single origin cacao from destinations such as Belize, Madagascar, Namibia, Kenya, Venezuela, etc. Aficionados will appreciate the wide selection of bars containing a high percentage of cacao. For those with a sweeter tooth, there are bars with nuts, caramel, dried fruits etc. A 100g bar is about 5 Euros. For 7 Euros one can buy 3 small bars ideal for sampling.”
