“What an experience!!! Arrived 15 June 23 and had dinner at about 6pm. Place is nicely laid out. What a view! We had reserved a window table overview the Royal Palace. For starters we had the Eel from Eveleens. It was a fresh tasting meal with a well placed foi gras. For main course I had the Dutch lamb. It was so tender and the sauce (chefs kiss). She had the dutch trout, the trout was cooked perfectly! The jerusalem artichoke gave a nice crunchy texture and flavoring!! For a side we had the truffle fries. The condiments packaging and taste was very good. Its the small details that makes a restaurant stand out from the rest! The staff were amazing!!! From Max who was very attentive and nice. To Jesse sharing some fun facts about the certain monuments in the DAM. To Christos! Christos was such a great person to us!! Made us feel so relaxed with his amazing personality!! This place definitely has it all! Great Location, great atmosphere, outstanding food, a staff who makes you feel at home!! Would highly recommend it to anyone!! Keep up the great work!!! If I can rate pass 5 stars I would!!! This place deserves a Michelin Star or Stars!!!(surprised it has not yet). We will definitely tell our friends and family about this place. We will be back! “Amsterdam is like a second home to me. I've spent almost a year of my life here over the past 15 years. I stumbled upon this little place during a bike ride two years ago and marked it as a place I want go on Google maps. Today, after all that time I visited this restaurant. I misread their website and thought they took credit cards. I was wrong. And with only 10 Euro in my pocket the owner offered to drive me to the nearest geldomat. The menu is only in Dutch, but not to worry the nice lady simply asked [in English] what I wanted and placed my order. Out came hot and delicious won ton soup and dim sum, followed by a beef dinner with noodles. Everything was hot, fresh, and very good. I finished with some ice cream. Extremely friendly staff. Thank you for a nice meal.”

“One of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam. It’s old school authentic design is so cool, from unique antique pieces to carpet table cloth. Food was delicious, absolutely everything we ordered. My personal favorites were escargot and dover sole. Service is incredible, we had a 3 years old with us and she got a lot of attention from Emil, she absolutely loved it. Thank you for that! “Quite possibly the best breakfast I've had in Amsterdam. I personally prefer the New York option, the buttermilk pancakes were out of this world. They were really soft and other items in the dish really complimented it very well. If you like a bit of sweet and savoury for your breakfast then I highly recommend this option. I did not enjoy the eggs Benedict California option it was almost the same price but the quantity didn't seem to match other dishes, maybe it's my bias after having the New York however the chicken and waffles were also very good, not too spicy and just enough to add to the flavour. The English breakfast on the other hand was also a good and safe option if you are not comfortable with the other options. There were enough seating options and quite unique in my opinion. It gave me good cozy coffee shop vibes. I would 100% come back for another plate of the new york breakfast.”

“August 2022: The street food experience. I was out, and enjoying the city and I wanted to revisit this NY pizza store to get a slice to carry away. I think this was capricciosa, in overall cheese, mushrooms, and some ham. The staff themselves were fine for the location and setting 5/5. The pizza was okay, though somewhat thin on ingredients when compared to NY Pizza's website. It was a good-enough experience. Thus, a 3/5. Overall, this place meets expectations for its purpose and location, thus 4/5.”

“I eat fish almost every day of my life and every time I am in Amsterdam I stop at as many stalls as I can for some herring or mackerel or whatever I am in the mood for. This time I had a mackerel sandwich with a healthy serving of mayo too. I loved every bit of it from the smell to the taste. The fish has that pickled preserved flavor that is strong and balances the fish flavor a bit, the mayo brings a creamy texture to the dish and the bread is merely a vehicle for the fantastic fish. I’ve also had the herring too and would obviously recommend it.”
