The volunteers are lovely, really kind and helpful. The posters and information are useful. This is a little, local information point for birdwatchers. The bitterns are rarely there, and the hide is best in winter
Great hide, easy to get to with nearby parking. Lots of information and to date is still the only place that I have ever seen Bitterns.
Nice cosy place to sit and watch the bird life.
Hot drinks available and plenty of leaflets with information on the lea valley.
Lovely place for a walk. So much to see. All kinds of wildlife and habitat. We parked at Cheshunt. Great for short walks and long walks. Lots of accessible pathways. Bring a picnic and make a day off it. Plenty of places to stop off in the surrounding areas.
I would recommend walking, cycling, running around the lakes to anyone who likes nature and open spaces. Nice environment, a paradise for bird lovers and just in general it's a good place to go to to get out of London. There are multiple points to park your car, at a reasonable price. £2.50/day.
