Nevertheless the food was to a very high standard. And as usual the portions are huge so expect to be stuffed.would recommend for smaller groups as there isn't the space for large tables”

“Had a takeaway delivered. Took an hour to arrive. Person taking the order was pleasant and ordering was straight forward. The food tastes lovely and was hot when it arrived. I always have duck with pancakes as a starter. I prefer it when it comes on the bone and I shred it myself as it seems moister. Just a personal preference. But It came pre shredded in a container. The chow mein came in a small container which I'm used to coming in a large container from other takeaways. The price didn't reflect the smaller portion size. Overall it was a nice tasting meal. Nothing spectacular with slightly small portions. The prices was competitive with other takeaways.”

“We came in May and liked the food so booked our festive meal for this weekend, staff were helpful as they had put us in the main dining area but we booked for the private area and they sorted this out very quickly. Vegetables a bit cold but otherwise food was nice. The service was excellent. However due to cold vegetables I give this a 4 star. Nice pub, worth a visit.”

“Nice country pub large car park at the back. Here for a family funeral so not a typical visit but well looked after. Tried their coffee as well as the bar drinks clean glasses and good taste. Think this may have been an old coaching house from the stable building to the side and old beams inside. Would like to come back here again perhaps in the summer.”

Wonderful experience - from the moment I walked in (to get take-out), I was welcomed and looked after. Very friendly staff - my order was taken quickly and they asked if I would like a drink while I waited. The food was SUPERB. Genuinely the best curry I have eaten in years. Fantastic restaurant - would recommend to anyone.”
