Use this chippy on a regular basis, chips are normally lovely although I have had the odd portion under cooked, but that's a rarity. Lovely fish, and chicken wings. Good portions friendly staff, definatley worth a visit....

Having lived in the area for decades, it was a revelation and a pleasure to visit Bridges for the first time about a year ago. Having continually passed it by in the car and wondering if it was a decent fish and chips shop, I found it to be well worth the wait.
The staff are very welcoming, polite, and wear smart clean identical team uniform T shirts. There is a very modern and pleasant atmosphere with spotless decor, clean hi-tech equipment and very well presented goods. The chips are pure perfection! Dry, not greasy, cooked and prepared to the highest standards, unlike many others I've tried in the borough. The frying oil is obviously changed very regularly as there is no stale odour upon entering like there is in many other establishments. The fish is superb and they obviously have a high turnover of fresh product as there is never any of that nasty smell of fish that's been hanging around a few days. I would highly recommend visiting Bridges if you're interested in trying it out for the first time. I cannot rate this place high enough. Very well worth a visit.
Needless to say, we will never be visiting any other establishment in the near future!
