  Sadly my dad only had the last 6 weeks of his life here and I wish I’d moved him here sooner. My dad has been in care homes on and off for 10 years in between mum looking after him. When she passed he needed more care. His previous home just didn’t understand what we wanted for him and we took dad out feeling completely broken. The minute dad arrived here he smiled and said “ it’s nice here” words can’t describe what the amazing staff did for dad and for us. Dad passed away last night and I’m so overwhelmed by the kindness of every single employee in Acacia. In a very short time they became dads family and our friends. I didn’t know care homes like this exsisted, I only hope more and more homes change and we care more for our elders like they do.Thank you from our hearts. Love Sarah, Susan and Jenny xxx

  Acacia gets my '5-star' rating in every aspect. My friend has been a resident at Acacia Care Centre since October 2013. The quality of care, management, hygiene, room accommodation and catering is simply brilliant. The staff offer a great deal of support and caring - not only for the residents but also for the friends and family. The atmosphere is uplifting, positive - and they are very professional.
  
  There has obviously been a tremendous amount of planning and consideration that has gone into the layout of Acacia. My friend is on the Dementia floor, so there are wide long corridors where he can walk, and walk - night or day - and always staff on hand, who are understanding of the residents' needs and problems.
  
  The rooms are beautifully appointed with very good quality furniture; the gardens are attractive and have some raised flower beds, so that those with 'green fingers' can easily do some gardening. There is also a splendid cafe area with coffee making facilities; and a bar area for get-togethers; a library and computer area.
  
  A true indicator of just how good is the Acacia Care Centre, is the fact that when there is a Friends and Family Meeting, or a special celebration, the attendance numbers are fantastic. These celebrations and meetings are great fun and they always have a strong sense of community spirit.
  
  Oh yes, Acacia Care Centre is definitely worthy of a 5-star rating.
