  The care received for my mother was excellent as she was an end of life resident. Although my mother's stay was for a short time, I can highly praise the care from Melba's team. Klondi and Hazel are first class nurses with many years of experience. They showed kindness and understanding and treated my mother with utmost respect. Well done to all at Southdown, all staff were friendly, happy and keen to please!!

  The care given here to my mother is first class. From the moment my Mother arrived at Southdown, she has been treated with the most wonderful, dignified, personalized care by an incredibly caring team who go out of their way to look after their residents. The Carers and Nurses and Managers are incredibly caring and do everything they can to make residents happy and ensure they are so well-looked after. It has a family atmosphere here where everyone is welcomed and included and yet everyone is treated with complete respect as individuals at the same time. The care staff are incredibly attentive and have substantial and wonderful interactions with every resident. The nurses, managers and owners are exceptionally professional and caring and provide top class nursing standards of care. I highly recommend this nursing home. I can rest assured that my mother is being so well looked after.
