Myself and my family have been patients here for over 3yrs and have always been warmly welcomed by Judy and her reception desk colleagues. It’s a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere where the doctors & staff really do care for their patients. Barlby Surgery in my opinion is efficiently managed and we have always been satisfied with the level of care we have received. Keep up the good work Barlby Surgery!
The best doctors appointment I’ve ever had, never made to feel as though I was under a time constraint. Doctor made me feel comfortable and took time to go through all my options - even ones not available on the NHS. Really really positive experience
One of the best GP surgeries I have ever experienced with 7 day a week services and appointments at weekends if required which is extraordinarily efficient as not many surgeries offer such extended hours.
Online systems make booking appointments and ordering meds easy.
And all round quality medical care.
I am sad to be leaving the borough and pray I might find a similar centre of excellence in our new home town.
Judith along with some of the other colleagues, shows good people's skills and have been quite polite. They're professional in carrying out their work. Judith however is a big asset to the team. I would also like to say I feel relaxed and comfortable so far with the various doctors and nurses I've seen.
Negative - can there be a quicker response when trying to contact the surgery by phone please.
I am always greeted very warmly by Judith at reception and by all the reception staff. Judith in particular, makes me feel very welcomed and looked well after. She is someone who has pride in her work and makes sure that the surgery offers an efficient, pleasant and welcoming environment. Also, the nurses and the HCAs are all very helpful. The doctors are always polite, respectful and courteous and extremely helpful despite the pressures and demands of their job.
I am very grateful to all the staff at Barlby surgery.
My only concern is that on a couple of occasions where my husband who is disabled and is vulnerable due to a number of chronic conditions, needed a home visit, there was no body available to visit him. This was not through unwillingness on the part of the doctors but through lack of staffing resources. However, as mentioned, all the staff at Barlby Surgery are exemplary and I an very grateful.
