The quality of the castings are superb- as leadwork isn't cheap, I did research several lead items and found cheaper versions,but the quality and range of the Crowther ones made us decide to buy from here. When the items were delivered, and examined closely, the work was superb, a smooth surface, no 'roughness' beautiful 'invisible' smooth soldering and hand chiselled details on things like paws, claws noses and eyes. [We had animal statues] Over ten years later, the statues look lovely, they don't get ''dirty'' like cast concrete 'stone' does, or rust like cast iron,and they go a pleasing soft grey colour with the passing of time. They are a quality English made item.”
