“2 years ago, our son joined Summerside after 3 years at his previous school. We heard contrasting opinions and they were just that, opinions. We are now informed enough to give an opinion, and here it is, Summerside has been excellent. Our son has blossomed and matured over the past 2 years so he is as good as ready for his secondary education.. The school along with the teachers have all done their part and at home, we done ours. Remember, don't be disappointed with the results you didn't get with the work you didn't do, so home education to compliment the school is a must. Finally, a big thank to Jason's year 6 form teacher and to both the head and deputy head for their input. Great effort to which we are extremely grateful for, thank you.”

My time at this school has been excellent as I have received an immense level of support from both Ms Albay and Ms Hamilton who are the Heads of Sixth Form. I believe that the level of support and opportunities that they provide us with is extremely rare to witness at any other Sixth Form. The reviews on here are not an accurate representation of the reality within the academy. Due to the level of care they have for their students, they come across as harsh and strict however this is simply for the good of their students and their future. The reviews have been written by immature students that have nothing better to do with their lives other than blame others for their mistakes.”

“A small parkland area sited along the River Shuttle, with a hard path through the park. Dog friendly and great for paddles in the summer. Good for a quick dog walk or for a longer one as plenty of space to play ball games. Also great for sitting watching the world go by, as several benches are here. No public loos, car park or refreshments/cafe here. But The Oval is less than a 5 minute walk away which has shops and a really good cafe.”
