“If you are familiar with the big glasshouses at Kew, well the Davies Alpine House couldn't be more different. It is room-sized, strikingly modern in style and, rather than the steamy heat of the Palm House, it is designed to encourage a cool air flow - no fogged-up lenses here! The plants are presented beautifully and much of the display is constantly changing (many of the alpines are grown in pots), so there's always something lovely in flower. It is easily wheelchair-accessible and rarely crowded.”
