    Run by a fantastically warm and welcoming couple, Antony and his lovely wife in the kitchen. Felt like I was right at home in such a historic pub with delicious food and thirst quenching drinks quite simply a must visit establishment. In such beautiful surroundings loved the atmosphere of feeling like a local; first class country pub....
    Got to be visited.

    Such a lovely pub. Hadn't been here for probably ten years, but the place is still as lovely and the people as warm and friendly as I remember it. A proper pub and a real gem. We'll definitely be back very soon.

    Over the 30 year's I have been coming to this pub the beer has always been perfect . There is always a good selection of guest ales and the lager and cider is also well kept. We went for a family Sunday lunch and could not fault it. I had the lamb burger which came with fries and was very good £10.95. The wife had the house soup which was also very good and my sons children's meal turkey dinosaur nuggets with fries and beans was also very good. Would recommend this pub to anyone for drinks a night out or family.

    Lovely location. Lovely looking pub. Great garden. Slightly expensive. Decent food, but not great for non meat eaters or those with allergies. Staff not as friendly since it change hands. Dog friendly! Children's play area. Chickens and birds in the garden.

    One of my favourite pubs ever. Delightful building, glorious fires (when cold), large garden when hot. Good, varied menu. And folk music session (anyone can join in) every third Friday in the month. Who could ask for anything more?!
